If he has a good band around him to play Oasis songs properly his tour will be succesfull. If he won't play any Oasis songs, it won't. I think a big reason that Noel's tours are succesfull is because he plays Oasis songs.

It was a perfect storm. A new generation of fans due to Supersonic. Enough time had passed since Oasis where a good chunk of younger fans had missed Oasis the first time around. A new and improved, more mature and humble Liam with a much improved voice.
