The older I get, the more I think Be Here Now stinks. The songs are boring to me and the production makes it nearly unlistenable The older I get, the more I think Be Here is great. It's not the masterpiece the first two albums are but the gap between this and everything the Gallagher brothers released after the 90's is enormous. D'You Know What I Mean?, Stand By Me, I Hope I Think I Know, All Around The World (+b-sides like Stay Young and Going Nowhere), etc. Who is able to write melodies like that in 2018 ?

All subjective I guess. I think most of the melodies on BHN were overused and trite by the time that album came around. Wish they never made it.

I listened to my edited Be Here Now with Stay Young and Going Nowhere on it today and it was absolutely joyous.

Unpopular opinon: Solider On is an embarrassingly bad song for Oasis to sign off on. Not only do I get no enjoyment out of it, but I would be quite embarrassed if I told everyone I liked Oasis and then someone played that on the speakers.
(I believe in all is better)

Paul is the driving force behind Oasis?
Liam is a cross dresser?
Peggy wrote the songs for Noel?
Just sayin'.

What have they got to do with "Soldier on"? They found a demo, asked the band about it and they didnt remember it.

What have they got to do with "Soldier on"? When The Coral recorded Roots and Echoes at Noel’s Wheeler End studio in very early 2007 they found some finished demos on their hard drives. One of them was Soldier On that The Coral loves and asked Noel about. He had forgotten they ever made that song.

(I believe in all is better) I think it works in the context of the album and would've worked better had there been some stronger tracks preceding it. I think it's an alright song and a different type of closer for the band, not all embarrassingly bad. Move To Be Where There's Life to before Falling Down, then close the album with Come on Outside, Soldier On, Boy With the Blues (intro lines up well with Soldier On's outro) and you have a good, 10 track album that closes out the band well. It'd be even better if we had that epic, guitar-laden version of Record Machine that Noel talked about so much, but a closing sequence like the one I put together is nothing anyone could hang their hat on.

Fade In-Out is good, but not as great as everyone makes it out to be. It suffers from being a little too long and a little too repetitive, and the lyrics are kinda meh. Liam sounds fantastic on it though.

I'm glad it's not just me who thinks that about Soldier On, I really dislike it. Liam's songwriting at its worst.

(I believe in all is better) Not their best at all, anyway it has some miserable and nostalgic vibe, as it`s the last song on their very last album. You can hear something`s coming to an end.

Hey Now! needed to go from the guitar solo straight into the last run through the chorus, kind of like Fade In-Out.

Liam sounds fantastic on it though. The live performance at GMEX elevates its status really. I defo wouldn't like it as much if it wasn't for that performance.

I never liked Soldier On. I remember when DOYS leaked and some people reviewed the track as "amazing, sounds like Gorillaz" Well, it didn't.

I like Soldier On. Nice melody, eerie vibe, decent production - sure, if you look at it from the lens of "Should this be the last song from the band that made What's the Story?", then it's disappointing, but so would most songs. I think it's a nice atmospheric way to close an album.

Morning Glory the song is not as good as people make it out to be. Lyrics are repetitive and the music sounds so basic.
It NEVER features on any playlists for that album I make

I've always viewed Morning Glory as a natural progression of what was going on with Columbia, but you probably dislike that one as well.
