Anyone watch this? It's does tend to fall for a lot of the clichés we've come to expect of gangster stories, b'now, but it's one of the most visually breathtaking telly programmes I've ever seen. And the acting is great. And, although it does get a bit silly sometimes, it is still pretty awesome having Cillian Murphy, decked out in 1920s attire, prowling narrow grey streets by looming factories spewing out great clouds of smoke, to Nick Cave crooning about something or other. Good trashy fun. Sort of like Sons Of Anarchy - only, well written. And, best of all: www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/peaky-blinders-david-bowie-was-such-a-fan-he-sent-cillian-murphy-cosplay-pics-a7000271.html! Only reason I started watching it, to be honest. But I'm enjoying it now, and am desperately excited to see which of Zavid's new songs will make it into the show...

Heard great things. Haven't watched yet. Always enjoyed Cillian Murphy's work. Underrated.

I was in a pub before and Cillian was also at the bar downing pints. I can confirm the man is as handsome in real life as he is on telly.

I don't know why but for some reason the title of this show makes me laugh. Sounds like a tacky Soho peep show

I don't know why but for some reason the title of this show makes me laugh. Sounds like a tacky Soho peep show The name comes from Tommy Shelby's (the main protagonist) gang's habit of slashing at peoples eyes with razor blades hidden in the hems of their flat caps, therefore blinding them. Also, the Peaky Blinders were a real gang in the early 1900s, in Birmingham.

The soundtrack for this show is generally very good. Any songs anyone thinks might make a good addition to the show?

"'ave you got any cocaine?"
Tommy channeling Noel circa '97, at the end there...

I think I'm gonna rewatch the whole show before starting 3rd season. Might also buy some Irish whisky to get the right atmosphere

I think I'm gonna rewatch the whole show before starting 3rd season. Might also buy some Irish whisky to get the right atmosphere I think I'm gonna rewatch the episode that's just aired. It's all very enjoyable, but Blinders doesn't half get confusing sometimes. And not in a Doctor Who way, where plot twists nobody alive could possibly have predicted, swoop up out of nowhere - more just in the way that you don't who the hell is who. Sorta like how Game of Thrones used to be. But I probably enjoy Blinders more than Thrones, these days, to be honest...

How good is this show (on a range of currently raved about shows)? It looks fascinating from the little bits I've seen of it.

I've got so many shows I want to go into.
- The Americans - Peaky Blinders
I'm already starting Mr. Robot and The Night of. Where does one find the time?

I know people always say this, but AT THIS MOMENT, with half the series having aired, I genuinely think series 3 is shaping up to be the best one yet... In hindsight, they probably bit off more than they could chew with series 3. Maybe they needed another episode to fully flesh out all the very many plots that were going on?...

Funnily enough, I just watched the first episode of this last night, and really enjoyed it. Visually stunning, just clichéd enough to be stylized, and I'm interested in where the communist theme goes for obvious reasons.
Apparently there's some opulent sex coming up too, which I'm always a big fan of.
