Mars to Liverpool still sounding MEGA What a tune I still love the album as a whole but I think Mars to Liverpool, Just Another Rainbow and I'm a Wheel are up there with anything he's been involved in since Oasis split.

When I was at the dentist the other day, and he was doing all the unpleasant dentist things, I kept singing I'm a Wheel in my head and it kept me zen. Great song.

This topic went from ”I really hope that he will make a record" to " Fucking Oasis is Back!" in the span of 8 years.

This topic went from ”I really hope that he will make a record" to " Fucking Oasis is Back!" in the span of 8 years. I will forever be totally grateful for those 7 or 8 years. Three albums I love as much as Oasis I met Liam at WMWN signing in HMV Finsbury, Reading x3, Glasto x2, and KNEBWORTH Acoustic sessions & MTV Unplugged A collab with a Stone Rose Bonehead back in the fold As It Was & NME Godlike Genius It’s been amazing. But it’s time.

Props to Liam for keeping the Oasis spirit alive all these years. Never change, RKID.

Was Liam really so stupid to suggest they'd be offered 100m when Noel scoffed at it on Jonathan Ross?

This topic went from ”I really hope that he will make a record" to " Fucking Oasis is Back!" in the span of 8 years. It was the last thing I ever thought would happen when this thread first launched - it was such a low point. Can't believe we've gotten to this point. I still can't process it.

It was the last thing I ever thought would happen when this thread first launched - it was such a low point. Can't believe we've gotten to this point. I still can't process it. 25 August 2016 was low-key one of the most important days in Oasis-related history... ...that's the day when, kinda out of nowhere, Liam signed his Warner deal. Remember that picture? That's where it all started. Followed by this epic tweet where Liam broke the news to his followers: x.com/liamgallagher/status/768776765028331520?lang=enBy the way, kudos to Warner, UROK, and Debbie. This was one of the best career management jobs I have ever seen. The way they spotted a vacuum in the musical market for rockers and acted on it was masterful—a textbook case for marketing and business students. Slowly, they built urgency and the need for Liam's brand of rock, from a tiny gig at the Ritz to sell-out arena tours to Finsbury Park and all the way to Knebworth. Nothing short of amazing. Of course, this was only possible because Liam nailed his job as a singer, frontman, musician, and celebrity. He stepped up big when he had to (whether it was One Love, Hull, or even singing on a barge). Plus, it was very mature of him to realize his most significant gift is his voice (which he finally protected and took care of to a point it seems it's rejuvenated 25 years), not his songwriting (and here's some well-deserved kudos to his songwriting army, who made him comfortable and gave him high-quality material that sounds fresh yet quintessentially Liamesque). Congrats, Liam, on what will be seen forever as a very successful solo career. Job well done.

Taken a while but the hype this week seems to have resulted in For What Its Worth finally reaching Gold in the UK.

It’s a shame that lots of the solo stuff will sit on the shelf for a while - Once, Wall of Glass, etc, let alone Noel’s stuff.
Whereas I think now’s the perfect moment for the reunion, and I’m as excited as everyone, the solo years were great.

Having expressed his embarrassment at overusing the "Mad for it" catchphrase in the 90s, I can't lie, it's kinda nice to see Liam reprising it on Twitter today. Totally teenage fanboy of me, I know, but I always enjoyed the fact that Oasis came armed with catchphrases. Just like this new nickname "the big O" -- I don't know when and where that's come from, but I like it. They should have a grandiose nickname really; it suits the character of the band.

26/07/2015: Liam plays Bold in a pub in Ireland just over a year after Beady Eye broke up and he withdrew from the public eye, kick-starting his solo career
26/07/2025: Oasis will play the second of 7 sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium
What a beautiful redemption arc it's been ❤️
