The writing was on the wall with this bastard bloke when he was spouting total fucking bullshit in the President Trump thread in November (who he was in support of I might add). Your predictions are most likely what we'll get - let's say it's an 11 song album, he'll want to perform them so that gives room for just 6-8 Oasis classics. That doesn't give much room for 'deeper cuts' so he'll bring out the big guns I guess. Liam is kinda fighting for his career. As much as I would want him to do his songs, that is the ones he wrote in Oasis, it's not really feasible. He needs immediate interest, and Songbird ain't gonna bring it. He'll need the bigger Oasis tracks. MAYBE he has one "deep cut," but it's completely defensible for Liam not to be thinking about a small group of Oasis fans on a forum, and what they want him to play. Especially because he wasn't satisfied with those same die hard fans' sizes at gigs. It's clear he wants more, and songs that weren't good enough to make an Oasis setlist aren't going to do it. you tell 'em.. you fucking tell 'em, boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely, especially considering he's playing festivals, i.e. to crowds who didn't specially buy a ticket to see Liam Gallagher, the youngest ones not even knowing who he is, so to grab their attention he'll need Oasis' biggest hits of the 90's. I'd much rather hear less obvious staples in his setlist, but that'd be for solo gigs, certainly not for festivals. Hence I'm really looking forward to his proper solo tour!

Once again, Beady Eye weren't getting more than the Oasis die hards at their gigs, and they were struggling to sell them out (Which Liam clearly wasn't happy about). Solo gigs really don't provide Liam much safety, in terms of selling tickets. So he'll most likely still be playing the big 90's staples.

I hope he doesn't play many Oasis songs and I hope he isn't launching a solo career because he feels the need to save his career in any way. He had an outrageously successful 20 year music career. I just hope he's playing because he really wants to and if so I hope we see as many new songs as possible.

Given the hilarious lack of stories NME can come up with, do you really think if they had a journalist at that "rehearsal" they would just keep completely quiet? It was clearly bullshit when stuff like Stand By Me and Born On a Different Cloud were mentioned. I'd be surprised if he even remembered they existed. Rock n roll Star, Cigarettes and Alcohol, Live Forever, Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova is what we will get. Album in May/June My opinion btw, not claiming i was at a lunch with Liam in soho or anythingAwww and I was sure that was you I spotted in your LCFC kit on the way to lunch with Liam from the top floor of an office block in Golden Square where I was lunching with Richard Ashcroft, Damon Albarn, Rick Witter and Jarvis Cocker about the feasibility of a massive open air Britpop celebratory concert- more detail to follow soon.....

That has explained a fair amount of other matters Being more serious completely agree with the predicted set list- It is going to be his new material backed by classic era Oasis songs which I would have thought will be almost if not entirely taken from the first two albums worth of material.

Sorry but I hadn't really read through that thread yet and all the supposed interview/secret rehearsal hype. I was kind of suprised many people blindly believed alot of that at face value, especially him playing Listen Up and Whatever. Also, why exactly would Liam play Beady Eye songs? If he's trying to appeal to a wider audience now what sense would there be in treading forgotten ground (excluding Oasis tracks)? I'm sure the Beady Eye fans here and abroad would love it but let's be honest, that fanbase basically exists within the walls of this forum and other Oasis fan communities. Not sure how playing 'Evil Eye' and 'Four Letter Word' would get festival audiences hyped up. While I'm not particularly that 'excited' in Liam's solo endeavor, like others here, I'm intrigued for sure. The radio silence on his end does mean there's going to probably be an explosion of ACTUAL information straight from him soon. Based on the festival dates, don't expect anything till June at the latest.

It's only festivals he's playing so far so it may be possible (however unlikely) the album won't be out - he's not going to play a big bulk of his album to a general audience who make up festivals. He'll maybe throw in a few new tunes but it may just be a necessary promotion for the man himself to hype up his new album. I seem to remember Coldplay doing something similar in 2011.

I don't know where to put this but... a little silly feud between Anais Gallagher and Gene Gallagher on Instagram Stories... seems like Gene started all and then Anais strikes back... childish. Screenshots

Screenshots I would say the whole LG crap about "as you were" but in fairness it's his teenage son so...glass houses and all that about being "verified for doing fuck all" though. Shame to see the kids having snipes at each other, but not unexpected given their respective dad's histories....

Actually, Anaïs was the one who started it out of the blue (you can see it by the time her photo was posted — "9h ago" and Gene's is "8h ago"), then Gene replied her, that's why he used "As You Were"… it makes me sad, though, seeing Noel and Liam's feud is influencing in their children's relationship

I can see the album not being out till the fall (autumn) actually. Only festival dates so far which having large crowds will be given unlike an actual gig for him (remember Beady Eye's last tour ran short and had small attendance). Playing a runthrough of his album wouldn't make since if it's out by the festival dates. Still unsure what exactly Liam's gameplan is - that crowd of people want to hear him do RnRS, Songbird, Live Forever, Wonderwall, CS etc. and not his other band contributions and Beady Eye material. That's why alot of that fake info contradicts Liam's 'this time its different' statements. Retreading old ground like that isn't anything interesting (at least for me).

Regardless of the bastard's fake interviews and fake rehearsal, I'd be surprised if the album was as late as autumn. I'd still say its on track for a summer release. But then again, maybe it will be after the festival season - festival appearances are not so much in support of albums these days (management's often see it as pointless as all the money is in touring) and rather more an exercise in making quick money so who knows, maybe an album release strategy doesn't hold much significance in the music industry these days.

The amount of album material he plays, if the album lands by June, will hinge on if the material is good as far as I'm concerned. As far as we know his festival setlists could only be 5 or 6 songs at this point (made up of fan favorite Oasis tracks, maybe a couple of his own Oasis songs, and possibily a new track) - enough for people to get hyped up for the album. Ashcroft attempted this back in autumn 2015, where he played a handful of small shows and let people know about his new album. Like you said earlier, Coldplay did the same in 2011 by going to several festivals (like Glastonbury) and ending their greatest hits setlist with the new singles.
