Honestly, one of the greatest things they ever did. Groovy, sexy, and catchy, even if some of the lyrics are sub-par. Sexy? What's so sexy about it? The bass groove, the smooth drums, the sleek, atmospheric sound...also, the bit about having sex with girls.

I got through "Shake my tree, where's the apple for me?" and had to turn it off. It sounds so bad, and not the metaphor, the vocal in that live version is soooo fucking bad. The acoustic one someone posted above is worlds better, he actually sounds like he might be a singer in a rock band rather than a drunk chancer who's meandered his way towards a mic in a pub.

I love it. Maybe I'm a Liam fanboy but I like most of the Beady Eye's songs. This version is amazing btw: This shows every BDI flaws, terrible terrible verses, and the chorus dont belong you're like wtf. The structure is not very good also, you kinda get bored. that's bad for a single.

Beady Eye were done the moment they decided to play it on Xfactor. There was no recovering from that sort of embarrassment.

Beady Eye were done the moment they decided to play it on Xfactor. There was no recovering from that sort of embarrassment. Beady Eye were done before that, they needed catchy tunes and they had very, very few. Unpoplar opinion incoming but I thought DGSS was better than BE, BE was dull, I enjoyed the tone of DGSS so much more, had some nice sounding songs on it. All in my not so humble opinion of course. Also Beady Eye were fucked by the general perception of Noel being the intelligent Gallagher and Liam being the nutter who it was fun to like when you were a teenager but was now a twat. (I don't agree with that by the way, I think he's a genuine, nice and funny guy, but when you have a habit of being a prick to journalists and they ARE the media then you're not going to get a very good public profile with people who have a superficial knowledge of you.) Edit: Did they play on X Factor, they played on the voice, would they even get on X Factor? I doubt it. Or was it a joke/mistake, who knows? Not I said the hen, not I said the fox, not I said the other animals that didnt want to help make the bread or cake or whatever it was.

Heard it again this morning. Better than the Stone Roses return.
So yeah, well done BDI

I love the feel of the song and the instrumentation. As with most LAG songs it needed a better chorus.

Is ok but NEVER makes my Beady Eye playlist. Even a playlist for BE I always drop it. Always jars with me, the chorus and the music. Contrary to what has been said, I didn't think Liam's vocal was THAT bad for it. However, I'd have had either "I'm Jus' Saying" or "Iz Rite" as the single instead, slighty more catchier to me.

Really like it, one of their catchiest numbers. The ''Yes you're not wrong, she wants to know what's in your pocket, singing that song, dig it all night long'' always gets me, love the way Liam sings it.

Shake your tree is a referene to The Joker - Steve Miller Band, shame Steve had a better song.

I like it, it grew on me, I like how it sounds very unusual, different than the Oasis styffs.

I always thought that the title was a biblical reference and a clever sexual reference. Guess God thinks Liam's Adam, innit.

Was embarrassing then, still embarrassing now. Should have been called 'Second Bite of the Crapple'.
And excuse my poor English, but doesn't taking two bites of the apple mean something like having a second try because you were utter failage the first time round? I know it describes Beady Eye perfectly, but pretty lame admitting it in the title of your new single.

If Noel booted Stacey out and got Chris Sharrock in as his new drummer, his High Flying Birds records would be so much the better for it.

Not as embarrassing as a Liam fan who gets butt hurt because someone dislikes a Beady Eye song
