So I'm in the United States but as a big fan, I'm probably one of the few people who in the US who listen to Leave My Guitar Alone in my car. Well last year, my 2 year old daughter fell in love with the song and was able to sing all the words (along with all her kiddie songs). She would scream for the 'guitar song'. I've had occasion where I've had friends in the car while she does that, and while they thought it was cool that she could sing the song, these non-oasis fans who probably never heard of Noel Gallagher LOVED the song. One person said 'how did I never hear this song?', I explained that it's an obscure track but this song gets great reaction from people who don't know much about oasis. This song gets a lot of hate but it's loved by 2 year olds and people who don't know oasis  |

A bit like Yellow Submarine I guess, which also gets a lot of love from kids and non-hardcore fans, but hate from the hardcore Beatlesfans.

I love the track, its a terrific bside.
But I think a lot of Oasis,HFB,BE songs are as you described in that people would probably enjoy them if they gave them a chance.

It has a nice appeal to it, for sure.
Personally, I LOVE the Beatlesque, yet very CY era-like vibes and the summertime feeling the song has. In general, though, it's a very good song that serves its purpose well as a nice and fresh B-side that lies as a treasure for us fans and those who want to dig a little bit.

It's a great track! Somehow Noel has a great talent for writing charmingly hilarious songs like these.
Regarding the Beatles similarities, when I played this song for a friend of mine, she thought it was Paul McCartney singing ha ha!

When it was released, it seemed to get luke warm reviews on these forums. I really enjoy it. I love that chorus. I don't mind the Beatles influence.
It's a proper b-side, unlike that birthday cake abomination.

LMGA is so cool and, as a b-side I really enjoy it. It's slightly different to what he normally releases though saying that, I also think 'Here's a Candle' is a good tune too, can't understand any hate for either of them |
