The only ones here I really love are The King of Limbs, Syro, The Suburbs, and Reflektor. I would have added:
- NGHFB / Chasing Yesterday by That Oasis Bloke - Mylo Xyloto by Just Skip the Rihanna Track - NOBODY WANTS TO BE HERE AND NOBODY WANTS TO LEAVE by THE TWILIGHT SAD (Capitalized because it's probably number one) - I Thought I Was an Alien by SoKo - Immunity by Jon Hopkins - Tomorrow's Modern Boxes by Tom York - In Colour by Jamie XX

Haven't even heard most of these plus a few good ones are missing, so I'll abstain from voting this time.

I even thought about including Ghost Stories but it would have looked blasphemic towards Parachutes and AROBTTH, two of the best records of the last decade imho The Twilight Sad is a band I always forget about and I should probably devote more time to them.

That Twilight Sad record is really brilliant, perfectly gothic rock. I'd definitely recommend giving it a good listen in a dark environment .

Have never heard anything by them, but they get a lot of good response on this forum. Also, gothic rock and "music to listen to in a dark environment" are things that interest me.
Will add them to my evergrowing list of "artists to listen to"

Btw, this is a compilation of records that have stuck with me reading the yearly end of the year polls by the Rolling Stone and Pitchfork with considering choices of the Best Band of The Last Decade thread + some users mentions in other threads.

Nah, I thought The Suburbs would win out of this list straight away. It's an album people of all music tastes can appreciate.

Do it! I've been supporting them since 2007. Fantastic band. Their debut album was/still is brilliant, but the latest is nothing less! Please go to see them whenever you have a chance. You won't disapoint.

My personal favorite has to be "Lost in the Dream" by The War on Drugs.
Music really has some kind of healing power and that album came at the right time.

Voted for both Arcade Fire albums, QOTSA, Daughter, Kanye, Radiohead and The National.
Personally I'd have these 5 as the best of the decade so far Arcade Fire - The Suburbs Daughter - If You Leave Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell The National - High Violet The Maccabees - Given to the Wild

Nah, I thought The Suburbs would win out of this list straight away. It's an album people of all music tastes can appreciate. That's the only problem I have with The Suburbs - it has 15 songs on it and several are pretty average (some sound like ABBA ffs). Should have cut 4 or 5 of the fillers. Anyway, 6-7 years is too much to get all into one poll, so here's some more I enjoyed: The Rifles - None The Wiser Circa Waves - Young Chasers Tribes - Baby Tame Impala - Innerspeaker Jon Fratelli - Psycho Jukebox (hugely underrated) NGHFB of course Deep Sea Arcade - Outlands Johnny Marr - Playland

I dunno, I think one of the best things about The Suburbs is how well it flows, even if there are a couple of weaker songs they don't detract from the album and I don't think taking them out would improve the album much. Also I'm guessing you mean Sprawl II and maybe Half Light II by the Abba thing? I think both are great, the former in particular is one of the best on the album.
