He has a few words on the Definitely Maybe DVD. I'm not sure if I think more or less of him for taking part in the project...It's a shame he's been so vilified and we've never had the opportunity to get to know him as a person like the rest of the band.

They talk bad about him throughout the DVD. It really reflects poorly on them more than it does him...It looks very petty.

just as they say in the DVD "ex drummer of Oasis, and not many people can say that"
I dont think he was treated fairly, but if he wasnt good enough then Noel was right to tell him to leave. He's a rich sod now bc of that, and was part of Oasis during their best album. So while the band talking badly of him is indeed petty, I wouldnt worry too much if i was him.

Well, there are a lot of things that bother me about this.
A. He's not a horrible drummer. His work on Headshrinker and Fade Away confirm this. He just wasn't a varied drummer. By the same token, Noel wasn't much of a guitarist until about 2000, so really, who is he to point the finger? The entire group had poor musicianship.
B. I don't what the court settlement was but there is some serious character defamation. He'd have a heck of a case...10 years later, he seems like a guy at peace with having been in Oasis and the rest of the entourage still seems bitter that he had trouble keeping time on Bring It On Down. What's wrong with this picture?
Really, taking the piss? Taking the piss to my knowledge is playfully making fun of someone. You know, in a good natured way. I don't think this qualifies...Tony got the money because of the amount of work he put into making Oasis the name that it was. There were 5 people rehearsing in the Boardwalk so far as I can tell in those videos. I doubt that the court settlement was "I'd like $1,000,000 for my work. Now you're allowed to make fun of me at every opportunity." It's just very hard to imagine someone (Noel and co.) still having all of that negativity in them after 10 years and a significant amount of success that really should have dimmed that negativity. What's the point?

it bugs me because they all honor DM as being their best album and they cant stop criticising the drumming maybe tony wasnt the most skilled drummer ever but he was good enough to help making DM one of the best albums ever
so there
