From reliable source A friend of mine who lives in camden, london, was in the sir richard steele pub in chalk farm where he was drinking with his girlfriend & liam & his friends were in there, my firend eventually got the courage to ask him about the album, he said he was a gent said it was more or less finished just needs to be mixed by dave sardy, the thing that excited my friend was that liam said to him "ive written the best ever oasis song" he mentioned "The boy with blue eyes" , "Incredible riots" & "The sign of our times" Only reporting back from what ive been told so dont shoot the messanger, im excited though

I don't know if this is true or not, but i'm sure that Liam takes a great part in this album. I'm certain He's written great tunes.

I'd still give my left leg to have a record where every song was written by Noel again. He's still by far writing the best songs. While Andy & Gem are writing good tunes as well, Liam is not writing classic songs at all... in fact most of them are bad. Aside from GGTIA, everything is amateur sounding so far. Love Like A Bomb is an amazing title also, but that song is just not good.

i don't really like andy and gem's songs to be honest... i think that BOADC is a great song if noel's songs are rockers then i'll be happy i'm sick of ballads...

It's got to be one of the highlights on DBTT. I actually happen to think GGTIA is the worst Liam song on the album. How is that not amateur but LLAB is? That makes no sense whatsoever. Also BOADC is a very good song...and not just in Liam standards

Love Like a Bomb is a proper tune!
Song Bird, LLAB, BOADC are all ace from Liam G.

upinthesite writes that according to Liam the "Royal Philarmonic Orchestra" is working with the band It's good to hear they're still trying a new stuff. The one thing I expect for the new Oasis album is that they're making something they've never doen before, so no DM, no WTSMG, no BHN, no SOTSOG, no HC and no DBTT.

Fistly, did anyboey notice the title being presented as "The Boy With Blue Eyes" instead of what we all know is "The Boy With The Blues"?
Also, "A Bell Will Ring" is the best song on DBTT.

Liam could pull it off, he's only been improving with every album.

I just worry that the album may be becoming sort of a "Stop The Clocks" phenomenon (with the song very possibly on the album) where it's been talked up so much that all it could do is dissapoint. I'm not predicting that, I'm just saying it's possible.

I don't find any of this believeable. If they were working with the RPO somebody would have said something by now. Liam, I am sure, is under strict rules not to run his mouth at the bar. I know he might slip up because he's always prone to getting drunk and running his mouth but this doesn't sound right. He's a big boy and can handle himself most of the time. The poster didn't even get the name of the song right that we know has already been written .....

i really think that every oasis album has a particular sound
DBTT sounds like an old band and sometimes like they try too much but dont quite get there
POTQ is a jewel though

I loved DBTT. I think you're in the minority Jono. i agree. dbtt was a step in the right direction for them. I would've been disappointed had they put out another album like HC.

upinthesite writes that according to Liam the "Royal Philarmonic Orchestra" is working with the band That would've been colossal if that is true! It could well be, because Noel stated in an interview a while back that he would like to have a orchestra on the new album. I really hope that The Boy With The Blues end up like All Around The World! I think that would have been great! And we definitely need more guitar solos on this one! Yeah, I know, I'm a huge fan of Be Here Now ;D

I don't like Liams vocals on DBTT (exept Lyla) It's the way he sings, not about his voice is getting worst. Just the same as I don't like his vocals on Fade Away from The Masterplan.
