This video would have either ended the career of Beady right there or would have sparked a big controversy that might have made the band popular for the wrong reasons. It's actually a quite disturbing piece of art.

That's bad. It's not even good art - it takes the most obvious possible reference in the song and utilizes it - not clever. Definitely prefer the slo-mo shark.

Doesn't fit the tempo of the song overall. Really shit and don't like it. The sharks are amazing by the way. Simpke but great video!

What the... A really unpleasant thing to watch. Anyway, from Jackson's post on facebook:
"Three years ago i made this video for Beady Eye's brilliant first single of their BE album, Sadly the band totally shat themselves at the last minute and refused to use it. The label stopped me frombeing able to show it to anyone, but fuck it, I can't be arsed to keep it under wraps anymore. An important piece of work and something i'm ver proud of that should been seen for all the right reasons."
Also, below the post he commented "i would but i don't own the footage, the label does."

Nothing to be proud of. I get hhis concept idea but it just doesnt fit the songs tempo anf mood. Feels like it was madr for a completely different song.

How on earth did he get the job of 'art director' if thats the quality of work he is capable of? And why is he proud of it?!? Its such an appallingly shot work. Theres a great big bit of fluff hanging off one of the gloves ffs.
Im worried it took until the last minute for anybody to bin it

He probably wanted to bury the legacy of Beady Eye right the. It would have spared them all the hassle.
Now you could take the idea to a professional director like Paul Thomas Anderson and it would have worked well!

i dont actually like it. It could be political and dangerous without concentrating to a gun.
protests and riots, a world on fire and problems would be much more interesting as a theme and very close to the spirit of the song.
in every case i love the shark video.Imo, is a piece of art that perfectly fit to the song

I refuse to believe this is real. Seriously. It looks like a joke.
The shark was already a joke, and if it were by any other artist most on here would call it a joke. But this is poor for a "major" band and for what is a great song.
