basically is there a band that you let 'get away from you'--- that is, you've always wanted to see them play live but for whatever reason never got the chance to? and if they did reunite you would travel if need be to see them?
hell i'll even let you throw in a solo artist if they have been on the shelf for awhile.
mine:
-oasis -beady eye
(^obviously... seen them both multiple times but would love to again some day)
-catherine wheel -the kinks
(^obviously the kinks go further back and ray has long lost his fastball but it's the kinks dammit and if they did play a short limited run in the united states i'm sure nyc would be on the list, and that would be doable for me as i live in boston)
-icehouse
(^80's band from australia... actually they still play live (albeit not all the original lineup) BUT only in oz. i would love it if they played the u.s. again sometime)
-BB king
(^kind of cheating here as he passed away last year. but i had several chances to go see him and never did and i now regret it)

I'd have to agree on Oasis, of course, but also with B.B. King. I've come to appreciate and listen to the blues more over the last year or so, and the death of him was sad, not only with how much of a legend he was, but also with how he was still performing, even about 7 months before his death. May he rest in peace, though. What a performer and a guitarist.
Anyways, I'd say R.E.M. and John Frusciante-era RHCP.
In both of those cases, I never really was a fan of them until after R.E.M. was done and Froosh left the Chilis, so I would love to see them in concert, especially with the latter of the two and gigs like Chorzow, Slane, and La Cigale. Nothing against Josh at all, as he's a wonderful guitar virtuoso, but Frusciante's just a downright amazing guitarist and it would've been cool to go to a gig & watch him perform with them.

Unfortunately, I pretty much have to travel most of the time there's a gig I want to see. Canada's too ridiculously big. And expensive to travel within. It's actually more reasonable cost-wise to go to another country.

I'm lucky enough to be able to be in UK within an hour and Germany and Belgium are easy to get by train from where I live.
Bands I've seen abroad are: Oasis (Japan) NGHFB (Japan) The Stone Roses (Japan) Kasabian (3 times in Japan and once in Belgium) Arctic Monkeys (Japan) Manics (Japan) Bloc Party (Japan) The Enemy (Japan) Weezer (Japan) Everything Everything (England) The Drytones (England) Airbone Toxic Event (England)
My English friend always ask me to join him for a gig in England, but I couldn't find time for it so far.

I went to Primavera in Spain to catch the Ride reunion tour + Belle and Sebastian (then they came to Sweden anyway but I didn't know that by then heh).
I would travel to catch: Talk Talk - will never ever happen but one can dream Oasis - duh Genesis - preferably with Gabriel and Hackett Rush - and they just retired from touring...

They broke up after Laughing Stock in 1991. Mark Hollis then released an excellent solo album in 1997 after which he's practically retired from the music scene. He's made occasional guest appearances on a other artists' projects and recently contributed to the soundtrack of "Boss" starring Kelsey Grammer: I do respect his decision in keeping a low profile but there's so much talent "going to waste" in the sense that his music (assuming he's still writing other songs/pieces) might never reach the public again.

It was in 2008, they and Everything Everything played at Barfly in Camden. I bought their first EP after the gig and chatted with the drummer. I remember they played at Paradiso for 5 nights a couple of years ago, but I didn't go to see them.

Iggy Pop's Post Pop Depression -I allready regret it that I wont visit their show in Berlin. I missed Neil Young, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan, Ennio Morricone, The Rolling Stones, etc.from 2013 to 2015 because i just can't book my summer hollidays when the Lucca Summer Festival takes place! Neil Young is playing this year again, on the day of arrival. What a shame! I have to go!!! All those preciouse old masters! Time is running. On the plus side, I've seen Oasis when I was 13 years old
