My mum retired 5 years ago. Still works. Wouldn't worry about it!!!
Besides. Maybe if he waits 10 years and takes strepsills every day...then he could sing again

I personally think Liam is visiting the studio regularly since Beady Eye split at least. None of his tweets, or tabloids has stopped me from this assumption cause he's an asshole you know. I don't believe a word. It's actually in his best interest to make us all think he's retired, retarded and all his songs are shit. If he's onto something at the moment, that's the perfect thing to say.

Even if he hasn't officially retired (which isn't even really possible as a songwriter - he could retire now and still write an album in 10 years), he doesn't sound motivated or optimistic at all. If he hates the idea of a solo album so much, he should join a supergroup of some sort. Johnny Marr, Richard Ashcroft, someone from the Roses, Liam.

Arguably take Johnny Marr out of that and with the rest of them nothing would ever get done- The Roses took five years to make 'Second Coming' and we still haven't heard the much heralded new record since the reunion, Ashcroft has only just popped back up after another extended gap so if they can't get their own recordings together what chance have they got as a super group? Also RPA and The Stone Roses members could be just as temperamental with band mates as LG (arguably Mani aside). IMO what he really needs to do if he wants to make a record but not as a solo artist is to put together his own HFB with established musicians but give it a band name instead and have them involved in creating the record from production writing, touring, etc.

People should stop thinking about a supergroup. It's never gonna happen and it's bad idea.
Liam has 10 songs in him. Hell it's been 3 years since BDI broke up and he had some left probably. He should just put his balls on the table for real for once, and release the record under "Liam Gallagher". That's it.

Ideally he should but he IMO would still need the backing group as I said before a sort of HFB but with more input creatively if necessary- Whether he chooses to call it 'Liam Gallagher' or as a new band with a group name is pretty much a personal decision for him then, and tbh as much as I would like to see it I can't picture him going for the solo option.

People seriously thought that a passing sarcastic comment to a fan was gospel? Jesus wept.

Liam's never going to go solo. He didnt use his name in Beady Eye either, he's simply perfect as a frontman but as a solo artist with a nameless backing band? No way.

I think as Liam not doing anything at the moment it probably is the same person (I.e his girlfriend Debbie) but yes you are right Noel for instance his manager and press representative would be different people.
