While The Song Remains The Same.
I've never liked The Right Stuff that much to be honest.

While The Song Remains The Same. That bit before the last verse is just wow.

WTSRTS. Easy. Great lyrics and in the same mould as Part of the Queue and Falling Down. Brilliant.
The Right Stuff is boring as fuck.

The Right Stuff. Still one of the most far-out and daring songs he ever released. Hopefully it won't stay that way, though. The next record ought to be Neoclassical Punk Zydeco Rockabilly.

They're both absolutely colossal so nice to have them one after the other (and after Dying Of The Light as well!), but I prefer Song Remains The Same.
Distinctly remember hearing the tunes for the first time when they got leaked and ripped onto YouTube for a day or so, and straight away, this one really stuck out. And it still does. I love everything about it. It's Chasing Yesterday's Alone On A Rope.

While the Song Remains the Same.
Both are beautiful pieces of music, but WTSRTS has a personal touch that gives it the edge.

WTSRTS
My favorite track on the album and the only one that has coherent lyrics.

While the song remains the same.
Lyrically it's quite good for a Noel Gallagher song and I like the instrumentation. Plus that intro is simply gorgeous!
I don't mind The Right Stuff and it could be all out there and all, but it's definitely not one of my big favourites on CY, which this one is. Easily top 10, if not top5 of Noel solo songs.

The two best songs on CY, imo. While The Song Remains The Same is Alone on The Rope's big brother (which is my favourite NGHFB track, hands down). Perfect intro, great melody, great lyrics and great solo. Everything is in his right place. The Right Stuff is a brilliant piece of music too. The instrumentation is mind-blowing and the female choir was a great idea, it makes the song better. Perfect song to listen when you're on the road by night.
But if I have to choose between those two, I'll go with WTSRTS, because it's more personal and it's a better song to its bare bones.

Both are great tracks, but I just love While the Song. It might be the best tune he's written in years...

Had Liam written The Right Stuff it would be endlessly slagged off.
It's not that great of a tune. It's made listenable by the way it was recorded and mixed. Overall it's pretty bland.

1050% while the song remains the same, great melody, great guitar solo and great lyrics.
the right stuff has got better for me over the last year but its still one of the weaker tracks on CY for me.

I hope for the sake of the quality of album #3 that Noel never sees this poll. Might make him think that experimental jazz grooves are the wrong way to go.

The Right Stuff is in his all time top 3 (Noel sung) songs. Easily the best song on CY.

It seems that it's a case of love one but not the other one so much.
Well I'm going to be boring as usual and say I love them both to bits. Those two, Riverman and Ballad of Mighty I are excellent, and while I understand some folks are a bit tired of songs like Dying of the Light, it is the kind of song I love to bits too and I think it's the closest that gets to the classic Oasis sound.
But songs like Right Stuff and Song Remains are the kind of songs he should be writing in his solo career (like Alone on the Rope), instead of tired dull songs that desperately attempt to create Oasis's mid 90s peak (Lock All The Doors - yuck) or plodding dad rock (Girl With X Ray Eyes).

I don't think so. Soul Love has a similar chilled out ambience to it, and that's one of my favourite Liam efforts in recent years. I'd love to see Liam go full on chilled out.

Think a chilled out number would play to Liam's voice more these days, as well. Back After The Break is without doubt my favourite Beady Eye tune, and of all the things I like about it, it's paticularly nice to hear him singing lower down in his range for the verses. I wish he'd carried on with Beady Eye his thing on Dig Out Your Soul of only belting it out when needed, and the rest of the time using his voice more, to try and create a more dreamy, psychedelic atmosphere to the songs. But alas, in the general absence of any really great rockers, he must have felt he had to get all shouty again to inject some life into it.

That's utter nonsense. A good song is a good song, no matter who wrote it. Examples: Turn Up The Sun and Songbird. Also, Noel has written some right turds as well, which also get slagged off (and rightly so, sometimes).

The Right Stuff is great in the context of the album, but alone it's a bit weak.
However While The Song Remains The Same is a great song no matter what.
