Half the World Away. Talk Tonight is so great when played electric though.

Talk Tonight. Much more vulnerable, delicate, and personal than Half, and most Oasis songs for that matter. In fact, now that I think about it, Noel didn't often write directly about himself, as most of his songs' lyrics are vague to the point of being nonsensical, but when he did, it worked really well. The human element of Talk Tonight, everything from Noel's cough, to his vocals, to the light keyboards, to the strumming in the chorus (which gets me every time!), really elevates this above all other acoustic songs Noel ever did. Absolute perfection.

Half the World Away. Talk Tonight is so great when played electric though. That's right. This electric version is nothing short of amazing:

both are good but both can bore the tits off me when you hear them in his setlist for the zillionith time but if i had to choose it would be HTWA just for the fact it reminds me of the royale family

i love them both but i went with half the world away. when performed at a gig in a live setting the sing-alongs can be pure magic.

I once couldn't stand any of them, but half the world away started growing on me recently. I still can't get through the whole of talk tonight. it's just so dull to me
edit: I just heard the electric version and it's a million times better than the studio track, but I still prefer HTWA

Half the World Away is one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.
Talk Tonight is lovely, but not quite on the same level melodically.
