The only time Ashcroft has written a song that's bettered this has been with The Verve. Do you honestly think this is better than 'Check The Meaning', 'ASFTL', Science Of Silence', 'Circles' or 'Could Be A Country Thing, City Thing, Blues Thing' for example? Not being a dick, genuinely asking. |

The only songs I would rate better penned by Ashcroft since 2007 are: Sit and Wonder, Love is Noise, Muhammad Ali and maybe one of his last álbum(cant decide between they dont own me and this is how it feels like). Love is Noise it's the best of them all FWIW. |

Those are quality tracks I just mentioned (in my opinion) that I would rather listen to than anything post-Viva la Vida by Coldplay. But the majority of material on 'Forth' is better than 98% percent of that list.

Apparently he's gone for the next week or so, so I guess that confirms everything! Shut himself in the studio he did. Said he'll be thinking of me, so I foresee a very sexy record  |

Let's hope so. A combination of fast rockers (Ain't got nothing/Meaning of soul) and slow Lennon like tunes (Born on a different cloud / I'm outta time) ?
Hopefully some collaborations a la Scorpio Rising as well.

He did tweet about Lennon. did quite a lot of talking about Lennon in the nineties and beyond as well, so that's not exactly new for the man Seeing as he apparently had John Lennon's spirit enter his body as a kid would redoing 'his' old songs necessarily count as a cover or simply a reissue? |

Only issue here is that it has take him 20 years. I dare say you could put together a pretty cracken 10 -12 track record of Liam tunes and not be disappointed at all.

They haven't been there forever I can remember looking before .. could be 6 months - 2 years ago idk but they weren't there then. It could be that they are complete unknowns or could be that they are pseudonyms maybe? |
