Anyone into cycling? The spring classics start this saturday with the "Omloop het Nieuwsblad". Favorites are Kristoff, Sagan, Van Avermaet, Boasson Hagen, Thomas and many others. As a belgian I'm looking forward to see how longtime hero Tom Boonen will ride.
Personnaly I love cycling, the classics & the tour de france. The sport is very big in Belgium. Probably getting bigger in the uk as well with Froome & Team Sky ?

The sport is growing in the UK, it started with the track success, but the success of team sky and particularly Bradley Wiggins who as well as being a great cyclist is a great character has helped the sport grow. Whereas Froome is more respected than necessarily liked (i myself am a big Froome fan). There is also an increased participation in cycling and triathlon in the uk. Which may help sustain the recent success. I don't follow the spring classics that closely i tend to watch the grand tours. And am very interested to see if Geraint Thomas can follow up his excellent 2015 season. Plus I'm a big fan of Sagan. At the moment I'm looking froward to the track world championship in London as i am going to a couple of the sessions.

I cycle at least 10 miles a day in the summer and don't break a sweat or tire - with a little more mileage and steroids, I'd wipe the floor with professional cyclists....
God bless.

I am a great Wiggins fan as well. He was actually born in my hometown Gent in Belgium, but went to the UK with his mother when she broke up with his dad. Great character idd, has a good taste in style & music. Thomas is great in the classics, he won the E3 last year. But he's probably gonna focus more on the tour de france. Sagan is one of my favourite foreign riders as well. Check him doing the Di Caprio thing from Wolf of wall street

Only just seen this...
The cobbled classics were great as per usual. Everything after Paris-Roubaix feels like bland, no?
Giro has been good though.
