I've not heard their first album but both Winter of Mixed Drinks and Pedestrian verse are good albums too. Was a bit underwhelmed by the new song but I'm sure it'll grow on me and that the album will be good.

This is absolute one of my favourites: Have you listened to "Quietly Now" as well? It's a brilliant live acoustic album including "Keep Yourself Warm" featuring James Graham from The Twilight Sad.

A great band who haven't released a bad album yet, let alone a merely good album. Looking forward to this massively.

Rabbit covering Cheap Trick's Surrender: I know this is unrelated mimmi but you will also be delighted to hear The Magnetic North have a new album out called 'Prospects of Skelmersdale' out on March 16th. Apologies if I've missed anything you know about this, but the new song Signs is really great. Interestingly I only heard of Skelmersdale a few days ago, without any inclination of this new album, when I was searching through low division football team leagues! It is a small town in Yorkshire, so like Orkney: Symphony of the Magnetic North, it is inspired by the natural environments native to a band member (Hannah Peel grew up near Skelmersdale).

I didn't know that! Thank you so much, matt! This song is really great, I love it. Hannah Peel has such a beautiful voice and together with the talented Erland Cooper and Simon Tong, they can create something truly beautiful. I saw Carnival in 2014 again, but really would love to see The Magnetic North in the near future. The Coral's long waited new album next week, then "Prospects of Skelmersdale" next!

I'm watching Rabbits playing live at MBE right now. Scott just talked about Aaron Dessner from The National who's produced their new album. Great great band!

I need to get stuck back into them. Liked both Midnight Organ as well as Pedestrian Verse - but only listened to both on the surface of a handful of spins for each album.
But I've followed Biffy Clyro closely instead. Of course, not mutually exclusive - and I'll be looking to rectify that this coming week.
Mind you, Biffy's new album, Ellipsis, is actually really fucking good.
