Yes, i know this topic has been exhausted. And i know its somewhat pointless since we all know Oasis are better.
But i do have a few quick points about these 2 bands in comparison.
1.) Non-nonsensical lyrics
Blur: One of their worst songs lyrically is Girls & Boys Oasis: Their worst is Be Here Now (song)
Verdict: Blur's is MEANINGLESS. At least Oasis have some attitude and passion with their song being about aggression and proper having it!
2.) Blur's songs are pointless
Don't get me wrong, there are some i do like (Parklife, Charmless Man, End of a Century, Star Shaped, and Chemical World)
But for the most part, their lyrics are shite! They make Little James look good! Blur is just a simple pop band. Thriving off of catchy sounds and lyrics, but lack thought, attitude
3.) Country House
I like this tune. Catchy. But how it beat Roll With It i will never know - Blur are closer to Britney Spears than Oasis. Blur pop, Oasis rock!

Blur are good, but Oasis are much much better. Blur seem kinda gimicky and jokey which is fine, but it gets old after a while.bit like The Wombats at the moment, there ok but i'll get sick of it soon.

Were you trying to apply for a job in British broadcasting 12 years ago and this is what you brought in?

they got some good songs... but i dont like blur as a band, just as music makers, and not very much as that even . song 2 is pretty good, beetlebum and stuff like that. Oasis is a real band, they are on a mission. Blur are fooking "artists" or "knobheads"... just kidding, but you get the picture. I can see why country house won over roll with it.
