I've seen them when they supported Arctic Monkeys in 2006 and I enjoyed their gig. Unfortunatelly I don't know much about their songs.

Great band. Got into their music sometime last year, went through their entire discography. They have a lot of good music, I enjoy most of it and added it to my collection.
Mirrors is a bit different, as they seemed to want to distance themselves from their earlier music since it never achieved much success and went more towards revival/experimental rock. I still can't figure out if it's their strongest or weakest album, I suppose it depends on my mood. In any case, I like it and can't wait to see where they go next. They certainly deserve more recognition than they get. Vastly underrated.

Overall I think they are pretty meh. Debut album has its moments for sure. I actually think their newest album is their best yet. Its fully formed but still dynamic. Its like they finally focused all their different ideas and made a complete work. Its a pretty solid record. Really like the soundtrack feel of it. Not a life changing band by any means, but its rare that a band of their kind, makes their best album (or at least their best since their debut) nearly a decade in their career.

I'm seeing them next month again, supporting The Libertines. What I still remember from last time is, the singer kept asking "is everything alright?" in Dutch between the songs.
