Can't get the new Dandy Warhols tune out of my head. Definitely the best stuff they've released since 2005, simple yet addictive.

One of the most sadly neglected British albums of all Time, if you haven't heard it check out Shack's H.M.S Fable.

What do you guys think is the best band of this decade thus far? Have to go for the Arctic Monkeys for me, they mix it up on every album.

What do you guys think is the best band of this decade thus far? Arcade Fire seems to be only ones really taking the "band of the moment" title right now - but they don't really have much competition, most of the other best bands in the world (i.e Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys) have really passed their peak of musical relevance. Mind you, a lot of these have albums due soon so it should get really exciting to see. Still, there doesn't seem to be many really defining indie artist of this decade, with the aforementioned Fire being a possible exception. for me Arcade Fire peaked with The Suburbs, thought their last album was very hit and miss. I think the Monkeys have got even better with every album, AM is their R N B infleunced pop rock album, SIAS was their Bryds/Smiths indie album, Humbug their stoner rock one, FWN their rockier second album and The First one the Britpop one, they haven't passed their peak for me. Radiohead peaked for me with In Rainbows but how where they ever going to top The Bends/OK Computer/Kid A hat trick of world beaters.

One of the best British bands ever, they clearly influenced Blur.

XTC amazing band, they were Blur before Blur existed, Damon ripped off a lot of things from them, even on his Gorillaz days, people say that Oasis copied The Beatles, but at least Noel put some heaviness on the Beatles formula, but Blur sounded almost exactly like XTC.

lahaine and Headmaster, you might like The Veils as well. Singer/front man Finn Andrews is Barry Andrews son. I like The Veils and have seen them twice. Also not to forget - The Buzzcocks. I like them with Howard Devote, but love them when Pete Sherry took the lead. He's one of the greatest (yet underrated) melody makers.

Any fans of My Vitriol? I'm not that much into the shoegaze scene but this stuff totally gets me: hooks, wailing guitars, catchy songs but with interesting details. And the soundscape/production is beautiful. Any recommendations or similar bands? (And before you suggest it, I never understood what's so cool about Ride...)

I'm finally going to see the Buzzcocks live this May. I've been a fan nearly 15 years so I am increidbly excited. This is their 40th anniversary tour so I'm sure the setlist wil be special.
