Swamp Song. All day long. I hate FITB - it's clunky and doesn't set the tone appropriately. Whereas Swamp Song is pure Oasis and truly iconic at the Maine Road gig - how Liam swaggers on right in the middle, and then the band kicks off once more. Riffs all over the fucking place. Mental. (See below). @tjalke and Flatulence Panic you're summoned for this one. Evidenced Right Here:

Swamp song Maine road is iconic oasis moment.
Nothing beats 'bushes tho. When the first drum beat drops, the hairs on back of neck stand on end, the crowd goes mental and you know you're at an oasis gig. Amazing feeling
The this is not a drill 'prologue' to 'bushes just made the build up to 'bushes even better too

The Swamp Song.
I can just imagine being pumped up at Maine Road in the audience when they start playing it while Liam walks out and they jump into Acquiesce at the height of their fame & mad-fer-it stage.

As a gig opener I actually liked Fucking In the Bushes, but for the times I saw them at their peak the sheer buzz and energy that erupted when The Swamp Song was played means it edges the vote for me

FITB was good from 2000 to 2004 but after that they should have changed up.

FITB has always felt forced to me. Like Noel was trying to hard.
Where as The Swamp Song is very organic and rhythmic.

The Swamp Song!!! The best possible music for when you're getting ready to go out. If I had a car I'd blast it out as my entrance music whenever I arrived anywhere

Fucking in the bushes is an awesome song, but they just kind of walked on stage, looking all meh. This! I've always like the idea of Swamp Song being a song that not only introduced the group, but also the individual member's separate playing styles. for me, it's a better introduction than just a lead-in song with everyone coming on stage....and I mean, how many other bands do that? Not really that special is it?

The Swamp Song!!! The best possible music for when you're getting ready to go out. If I had a car I'd blast it out as my entrance music whenever I arrived anywhere Thanks for a brilliant mental image of arriving at a McDonald's Drive Thru with The Swamp Song drowning out the intercom system, followed by making your order in the ten second lull from 1.43 before the second blast comes on as you pay, collect and drive off! Wonderfully epic image that for some reason needs the long gone Vauxhall Nova (souped up) as the vehicle

Remembered this old thread after Liam coming out to the Swamp Song yesterday at Reading..
Literally can't decide between that and FITB as so many great memories of both...
