"My Glenn Frey Memory"
I don't have one so I'll make one up.
It's 1971 and Glenn and I have scored some dynamite grass and we're hanging out at the Troubadour in Hollywood. We're knocking back a few drinks at the bar and laughing at Henley's afro. In walks Linda. Linda Ronstadt. You just can't believe how smokin' hot Linda was in those days. So cute. So sexy. Sang like an angel. She had it all. Every guy on the scene wanted her. Even Geffen. How could you not?
I saw my chance and made my move. "Hey Linda, how's it shakin'?" She looked me up and down and said, "It's not." I replied, "Hey pretty baby, don't do me like that. I'm a man for all seasons sugar and one of 'em's yours. Come here and give your daddy some love." She laughed, told me to go fuck myself and left with Henley.
Now I realise there wasn't much Glenn in this story but there was a lesson to be learned from it. When you're white and you're talking to Linda Ronstadt don't come on like a pimp or she'll think you're a jive turkey.
R.I.P. Glenn

I don't know this man's music at all really but "You Belong to the City" is a true 80s classic.

When I read the Eagles I thought the team. My own ignorance.
Live Forever Mr. Frey.

Always sad when hearing this kind of stuff. I never got into the Eagles on any level ever. Not sure why. My best friend in grades 1-6 was a huge fan but it never took. I think my Dad not listening to them also played into that. He had tons of Beatles, Neil Young, Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac laying around.
