My vote would go to SOTSOG not by a big margin but I think on DM and MG are better in terms of oasis PYMWYMI, LJ and ICSAL stop it from becoming a truly great album put full on LAMB and ALATGCIH or CUA and u have it in tie with MG and DM (ino that wint be a popular opinion). DBTT is a really good album but 2 fillers 2 under par songs and not quite enough great songs but it behind SOTSOG for me even. Still 2 classics from the albums in Roll it over and TIOBI

Don't Believe The Truth because it was the first Oasis album released after I got into them and I still remember how I felt when I went to my local record shop to buy it, back home and listened to it for the very first time.
The first airplay of Lyla on polish radio station and madness on Monday morning on this place when some songs from the album leaked. I didn't download leak. I've never downloaded any Gallaghers related leak.
DBTT was released 1 or 2 days earlier here than UK, so while many people on here were fussed about leak, I was the first one who hold the album in my hands.

DBTT was my favourite oasis album ever for a short time but that album is pretty dull to me now and is probably my 2nd least favourite album, SOTSOG still has that old oasis atmosphere maybe because Liams voice was still in fairly top form when it was recorded, DBTT might be more balanced overall but much like the rest of dave sardys contributions its quite generic sounding and doesnt have much character.
SOTSOG couldve been better but its still a great listen.

SOTSOG had balls. DBTT had the better overall songs. I'd lean ambition over a retread like DBTT. When you think about it, SOTSOG was only 2 tracks away from being something very special. They needed a song like TSOTL to kick th campaign off. Fast. Driving. Modern. Catchy.
Plus Spike > Sardy

I have no will power when it comes to the Gallaghers. I tried. Doesn't take. I miss the excitement of the first day an album went on sale in the stores. Everybody got it at the same time. Now with the Internet and leaks and barely any record shops anymore, I only get that rush of excitement on leak day. However, I ALWAYS buy the official versions. Usually on multiple formats (CD, Vinyl) and catch them touring. So I make up for my crimes...................I think.

Giants could have been something amazing and different and has the echoes of something Biblical about it. DBTT just has some awesome songs and shit songs. But the commercialism on DBTT unfortunately outtrumps Giants for the mainstream.

Definitely DBTT, much better flow and better songs and I much prefer the production
SOTSOG still has Go Let It Out, Gas Panic and Roll It Over mind you, 3 fantastic songs. But the rest is very very meh. I like ALL of DBTT.

SOTSOG without any doubt. Despite having Little James (and I Can See a Liar/PYMWYMI to a lesser extent) on it. Like Lennon said, it had balls, ambition. DBTT has some a few great songs, some awful ones and a really stale production on most of them. I can't believe it's aged so badly.

SOTSOG and it isn't even close for me.
Gas Panic, Go Let It Out, Where Did It All Go Wrong, Roll it Over - compared to Lyla and Idle?
Also stated above, Spike Stent was a terrific producer. The production wasn't loud for the sake of being loud like with Sardy, but contains layers of quality mixing. The B-Sides are in a completely different league as well compared to DBTT's.
It's also the last album where Liams classic vocal delivery was maintained. Extra points for that as well.
While DBTT was more commerically successful and made the forum boost in recognition and activity at the time, SOTSOG is the better album for me.

DBTT used to be my favorite post-BHN album, but for whatever reason, most of the tracks now sound very dull and boring. It's Sardy's production, methinks. Once upon a time, I thought that Turn Up the Sun sounded massive and heavy. It still does, to an extent, but those guitars are not nearly as aggressive as they should be. And then there are too many LAG songs. I'll admit that all of them have grown on me, but they all sound very generic (besides TUTS), and the production does them no favors whatsoever. But I still give TUTS, Mucky Fingers, Lyla, and The Importance of Being Idle spins every now and then. Because they truly are great songs.

I'm glad the fan base here is rallying behind SOTSOG. Many outside the Oasis community consider it the black sheep of the family. Far from it. Sure it has it's flaws but worse crimes were committed later....

I think sotsog has the better songs (GLIO, Gas Panic, Roll it Over) but DBTT has more good songs on them. So I chose DBTT.

Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants is probably the closest Noel will ever get to wearing his heart on his sleeve. I find it hard to listen to at times but the majority of it is outstanding.

Tough call. I'll go with DBTT though. SOTSOG has Gas Panic, Roll It Over and Who Feels Love? 3 epics. Not much else though. DBTT has no real epics but it has more good songs than SOTSOG and Liam comes into his own on it. What Revolver was for George Harrison DBTT was for Liam.

Don't Believe The Truth for me. Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants is a decent album and it has Gas Panic and Roll It Over but Don't Believe The Truth has the better songs (apart from Lyla and one or two others). But it also has The Importance Of Being Idle, Turn Up The Sun, Guess God Thinks I'm Able, among others.

In terms of quality I would say they're evenly uneven, but the shit songs differ in the way that DBTT's worst put you to sleep while the worst off SOTSOG is just pure cringe.
