Their producer for BE was one of them! He said he didn't care for Oasis but prefered Beady Eye and the vocals in particular (which doesn't help if you already don't like that album) Think you're thinking of that bloke who did the BE artwork from the Beady Eye Noisey documentary. Not the producers.

It's 11 years ago today since Beady Eye released The Beat Goes On as a single which of course has the brilliant In The Bubble With A Bullet as the b.side. I haven't listened to the latter song in ages.

It was 11 years ago yesterday since Beady Eye played at the Melt Festival. I haven't watched that concert in ages. And, I must add some Beady Eye concerts to my YouTube play list on YouTube Music.

Flick of the Finger is the best thing they've done hands down. Such a good album opener too. This acoustic performance was on repeat on my old iPod back in June 2013

On this day in 2013 Beady Eye released their Shine A Light single. I've always loved that song.

This acoustic performance was on repeat on my old iPod back in June 2013 This acoustic performance was brilliant live at Abbey Road for Absolute Radio. I thought it showed the strength of the songs that they all sounded great acoustically.

I gave BE a listen twice this past week for the first time in ages and I really enjoyed hearing it again after a good few months.

Liam recently took over the Talk Club Twitter and posted this:
Surprising answer, but he really seems to like that song.

I've been listening to World Outside My Room on and off lately and it's such a good little song. I wish that Beady Eye had done more songs like that.

It was 12 years ago yesterday since Beady Eye released their Bring The Light single. That was frightening to read. It feels a lot more near to present than 12 years. Wild stuff. I applaud the band for trying to be different and bold but that was not the right song to give to fans first. Four Letter Word, although predictable In sound, would have served the band better as a taster. Bring The Light was always awesome live.

DGSS would sound so much better if the production didn't sound so stale..

And, I agree with you while Beady Eye were trying to be different with that song it shouldn't have been the first thing they put out. Four Letter Word would have been much better.

I do wonder if they released Flick of the Finger would that have helped them or were they doomed from the beginning. What I find an interesting thought would be if Beady Eye were say 30% more successful would Liam have stuck it out or still called it quits. We may not have the Liam we have today

We may not have the Liam we have today Bring The Light is ok but it's not one of my favourites. As for Flick Of The Finger and if it had been released as the first thing we heard from them, I think it would have got a better reception than what Bring The Light did. But sadly we will never know. If Beady Eye had been a little more successful than what they were, maybe Liam would have stuck at it but the question is would the others in the band? I remember an interview with Andy Bell after they'd split where he told them that he wanted to go back to Ride. So who knows what would have happened in the end if it had been different.

It's that time of year, I'm getting into BE again. World Outside My Room really is one of my favourite songs from the brothers. With Liam, it's extremely rare that he doesn't oversing more gentle tracks even in the studio, but here, I'd say he absolutely nailed it.
