well they did it again this year. i posted last year's list here and it seemed to generate a pretty good discussion , so i'm hoping this one will do the same! i always find these things to be great fun, and if you notice they actually addressed some of my grievances from 2014's list! this years top 100/top 10 looks much better, in my opinion. i'll give credit where it's due and where this list still isn't perfect by any means i think it looks much better than 2014's offering.

*keep in mind this is a boston station, so obviously the demogrphic will influence some of the selections and placement:

hey good to see a reply here, thanks. your point on stairway is well taken, could even have it's own thread, tbf.

i mean... in 2014 kashmir was #1, this time around it was #12. i think they NAILED #2, it's good to see some beatles (band and solo) in the top 100, if you look at 2014's list they had ZERO in the top 100

. they do these every year and i think they just keep mixing it up to keep people guessing. i'm beginning to question just how much thought and effort actually go into putting these together. i'm guessing not much. but i always enjoy them.

It's gonna be totally unsurprising with a big majority of bands who have been popular in the States. No Smiths, no Kinks and no Oasis but a shitloads of U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

and you have to remember, since it is a boston station they obviously show favoritism to local bands, like aerosmith, j. geils, the cars, etc. etc. ....

i'm going to predict that bowie is #1 this year. 'changes' maybe? just a hunch.

Probably that one or "Life On Mars?". I'll be fine with almost everything by Bowie but let's hope they don't choose Let's Dance or China Girl
