On this day in 2008 Oasis released their Shock Of The Lightning single. I remember before the release they allowed BBC Radio 1 to play a short section which gave the impression the song ended after the drum solo. So when I heard the full track later for the first time it was a surprise to hear the song carry on, it sounded great. It was a really good way of doing things. |

Have Oasis signed a deal with Amazon for this reunion tour, possibly for future content like a documentary? The billboard in Times Square had 'Amazon Music' listed at the bottom of the sign.

I think this is as much a farewell tour than anything else. Grab a load of cash, experience big stadium-esque venues like the old days and then disappear from public life to live happily ever after. I think this is the end that potentially would’ve come sooner were it not for the 15 yr breakup….

This will be a massive payout and they've achieved everything and more already. Maybe Noel and Liam might keep releasing some songs/albums in the future when it suits them, as solo artists, but they don't really have to tour much after this. |
