Just noticed Familar to Millions is on Prime so stuck it on and the intro is completely different to what I’ve seen before. I had it on VHS back in the day (god I’m old) and it didn’t have this black and white long intro showing the crowd being disorderly outside the stadium and the police getting involved whilst Who Feels Love plays in the background. Anyone else seen it? Has that bit just been added for the digital release? Just done the same on your say and I think you’re right! I can’t remember that at all. It was an extra on the dvd release. They were doing the soundcheck

Liam is quite the tease, haha, and after 15 years of solid skepticism, I’m actually now genuinely excited for the dubstep remix version of Eyeball Tickler. Thought I’d never see the day….

See all those fuckin clowns running round destroying shit all over england, that's a fair chunk of the crowd you'd be getting at any reunion, just another reason why I'm not even slightly interested, just leave it be fuck sake

They were doing the soundcheck Ah cool, I never had the DVD so that’ll be why. The VHS did have an extra on the end where they interviewed the roadies and catering staff etc I thought this intro was a very odd way to start, it shows Oasis fans as fucking drunken idiots. I know a fair few are but didn’t seem right to include it on an official Oasis release

I would hope so too, and i think there would be a lot of young people who never had the chance before, but there would be a big difference when its 'oasis' compared to solo liam or noel, was something like this mentioned in the knebworth dvd or am i imagining it? About how the crowd changed in the later years and became more 'laddish'

I don't understand why the live events at Boston 2001 or Berlin 2002 have never been rebroadcast in HD until today on some TV networks in the United States and Germany. All we have are VHS recordings of a single, very old release. I'm surprised there was an HD version of C&A at the T in The Park 2002... Was it too expensive to rebroadcast it all? I don't understand why some Oasis concerts between 2001 and 2002 were completely forgotten.

About how the crowd changed in the later years and became more 'laddish' Watching footage back of Knebworth 96 actually reminded me a lot of Liam's solo gigs now when it comes to the crowd cause of how mixed it was - people of all ages, not to mention a lot of young kids there who were girls too as well as just boys... it's lovely to now live in a time where that laddish stereotype doesn't actually apply to either of the brother's gigs anymore (even though it's a stereotype that'll probably never leave them)

So, if the rumors are true, then Liam has effectively already made the "announcement", right?
And if the rumors aren't true, then Liam has stitched up the hardcore and casual fan base like never before, right? (Reddit is going nuts, press has picked it up)
What do I do here -- set exceptions super high? Or remain a scowling cynic? Help me if you can!

That tweet was cryptic but not an announcemeny by any stretch of the imagination.

Lots of hype, but it's a bit hard for me to get excited to pay a shitload to watch Gem, Andy Bell and Insert Drummer's Name Here on stage again. Seeing that version of the band tour a WSTMG? anniversary would be a travesty. The Oasis that died in 2009 should stay buried. Bring back Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan or feck off.

But that’s what they were becoming. The reunion crowd though, will be nothing like the later years. Trust me. The kids absolutely adore oasis and they’ll show up in the thousands.

The crowds at the solo gigs are a hundred times better for that reason.

That's all. But we will see. IF, and that's a big if, something happens, September makes absolutely no sense to me as the month when the announcement will happen. Liam's solo schedule doesn't end until the 22nd of September so announcing it in October seems far more likely. The hype over the DM reissue will have ended, and WTSMG came out in October so if 2025 is to be an anniversary tour then surely logic would dictate that the best bet would be to announce it in October

Seeing that version of the band tour a WSTMG? anniversary would be a travesty. The Oasis that died in 2009 should stay buried. Bring back Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan or feck off. I highly doubt that Bonehead wouldn't be involved in some capacity because Liam would effectively demand it (added to the fact that, being realistic, if it's a WTSMG anniversary tour then Gem has no business being there). That said though, who'd play bass? Andy seems to be on good terms with Liam again as well as Noel, Guigs is a pipedream and Russ from NGHFB just feels wrong. Alan White has expressed a desire to get back with the band (if asked) so surely he'd be brought back, right? His drumming made Morning Glory what it is. It seems to me that the only contentious issue is who'll be the bassist
