Okay. This is very good. Also love Liam’s rapping.

If BHN was to much, I think Noel viewed SOTSOG as an overcorrection. Oasis only ever went for something in between the two thereafter. And HC was an overcorrection of the overcorrection. It was like SOTSOG was "too much" so they went to the complete opposite which gave us an uninteresting record that was way too back to basics and formulaic. I wish they would have continued on the SOTSOG path when it came to production of HC. More psychedelic and bold.

I seem to recall an early performance of Live Forever Noel did with some other guys on the radio, including the singer singing Baby instead of Maybe, anyone have a link for that handy?

One of my favourite versions of Supersonic. And for 2008, Liam’s voice is doing surprisingly well. I also like how Noel switched up the outro on the DOYS tour. This video has that Oasis magic.
What an effortlessly cool band. 1m views.

Someone should have told Noel he wasn't in the right band for this guitar. Good thing it was the first and last time we saw it. He must have gotten it with his fur coat and Jaguar.

I think the guitar might have been picked for the video because it looks different and cool. It stands out. Also , easily their best music video.

Different, sure. But cool? Seeing Dave Grohl with that guitar, fine but Noel, not so much. But yes that is their best music video.

There's something I like about the shape and the looks, but it's not his best looking guitar though. The Union Jack one I like the most. Yeah, Dave Grohl and also Tim Wheeler use the v- shaped ones.

Wonderwall has now been streamed more than 2B times on Spotify! I wonder how much income these two billion streaming times have generated for the band?

I was just watching this and it's not as bad as I remembered to be honest. Liam's coat is still outrageously bad though!

Interesting reading for a change. I didn't know that DBTT sold seven million copies? I always thought it was around four million. Also, Liam was using in-ear monitors for the first time. Obviously didn't like them. I never watch the gig anymore. It's just quite weak and tempo of the songs is too slow.

Yes, he was full Kermit for many songs especially in the higher notes like Wonderwall or, well we all remember SCYHO. But to add Zak at that time without priming him up to be more agressive and play faster and the choice of setlists are other examples of what went wrong that night. They sounded like they were on autopilot and Zak clearly learned the parts by listening to the records, which are usually slower. The article mentions the intro to Supersonic but how do you make Bring It On Down dull?

I was just watching this and it's not as bad as I remembered to be honest. Liam's coat is still outrageously bad though! The gig suffers from a lifelessness and lack of energy. It's like they're on autopilot. Barring the odd gig here and there, sadly all to frequent from this period until their split. Feel sorry for Liam most, he's trying his best to get with the crowd. His voice ain't great but he makes a decent point about the in ear technology disturbing him and losing that connection. The rest look like they don't care, or too insecure to interact and connect with an audience they don't know. Dare I say it, but if Liam were headlining with his current band and his choice of setlist, it would be a hell of a lot better than an Oasis reunion. It's also the first time that many in the public eye were seeing Oasis with Gem and Andy rather than Guigsy and Bonehead. They were better musicians, being more refined and technical, but it was at the expense of the brash energy of old.

I mean for a handful of people maybe, but it had been 4 years and 3 tours by that point.

I haven't watched that gig in a very long time and can't remember the last time I did. It's certainly not one of the bands best but it could have been worse.
