What’s the point of (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady? Maybe Noel should get off his high horse? I don’t need to? I like it. It works well within the album and is a perfect transition into Falling Down. TNOR on the other hand.... Get off your high horse Beady and face the facts...this song SUX ! and its title SUX HARDER !

I just watched the DVD just the other day. It's such an exciting period for the band. DM finishes doing its rounds, MG yet to be written and recorded, and they put out 2 incredible singles/EPs (particularly if you happen to be in Japan and got those 6 track EPs) with some of the best songs they ever did IMO: whatever, listen up, fade away, good to be free, half the world away, some might say, acquiesce, headshrinker, talk tonight...those songs could make up a very potent little Best Of.

What’s the point of (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady? Maybe Noel should get off his high horse? I don’t need to? The point is that they scratched two, possibly three, tracks off of Dig Out Your Soul because Noel couldn't be arsed to wait for Liam anymore. This track was clearly destined for b-side status along with The Nature of Reality and probably Soldier On. As for the track itself... it's not even close to the worst thing from that album or period of the band. It's listenable at least.

It's really is THE single worst thing, not just from that period, but Oasis ever recorded. It's no listenable, the intro alone is awful enough, let alone the effects on Noel's vocals and the rest of the painful track

I like it. Always have. That bit in the middle where the big drum comes in. I'm into it.

10 years later and it still frustrates the fuck out of me of how perfect DOYS should have been with proper tracklist.
At the time, I found it hard to separate DBTT and DOYS. But as DBTT has aged poorly, DOYS has been a right grower - fucking love this album (bar TNOR), even with the knowledge that it should have been a PWOPA belter if not for Noel & Liam's squabble. Those first 8 tracks, though!

Whatever Oasis released on BHN, whether it had been the Masterplan or BHN with shorter songs, it would’ve got panned by the critics regardless. Their domination had an expiry date.

I love how Noel changes from bridge pickup to neck pickup in the middle of the Slide Away solo! (could be the middle position too) #guitarnerd

The 10 years of noise and confusion interview is my fave Noel/Liam interview. If they ever do a joint one again I hope it’s in the same style with them reacting to past stuff

Just made a nice lasagna today, whilst humming Digsy's Dinner and I thought of you all, going green for my lasagna.

I both agree and disagree. I also believe Oasis had an expiration date and it all seemed to culminate around the death of Princess Diana, ending of Cool Britannia, late 90s, and an excess of cocaine. But if Oasis' third album was The Masterplan, I think Oasis may have been able to extend their expiration date. The songs are too good on that compilation to get panned. But Oasis being Oasis would have just found another way to fuck it up regardless.

Thought Liam was saying 'it doesn't matter if it's outta tune, its your kill' (instead of 'because you're cool) before the start of I am the walrus for about ten years.
My mate used to shout it out in Chemistry lessons repeatedly. What a way to get sent out of the class.

I'd kill for some more unreleased stuff like the Gem tapes we got earlier this year.

I'd kill for some more unreleased stuff like the Gem tapes we got earlier this year. Do you think Oasis has much more in their locker? Logic would suggest they do - especially if Noel was telling the truth of having over 30 leftover songs from DBTT alone. It's irritating that Management doesn't release anything anymore. Whatever happened to the Knebworth DVD release? Shameful.
