In this day and age- FALSE Oasis and the brothers still have a large fan base but the mainstream cultural change in the UK since the 1990's has been a combination of reality TV and US imported culture led, so it is a very different UK to the one that Oasis enjoyed their peak in between 1994-1997. That was actually quite a serious answer as well...  |

The majority of people that you know hate the idea of creative success, good times and wealth that most people aside from a one in a million business plan or a lottery win will never see?  Ah well each to their own I suppose but I'll take creative and financial success on my own terms over the current alternatives every time  |

Also I think a lot of people see Noel as this arrogant prick who spends all his time tooting his own horn ("we're the best band in the world" etc) but to be honest I've always interpreted that as schtick, post-1997 at least. They don't seem to realise that he's being deeply sarcastic 90% of the time. |

Definitely Maybe - the person most people love
Morning Glory - the person pretty much everyone loves
Be Here Now - person who gets hammered every weekend but is still liked on their good days
Standing - person who is quite depressed and everyone tries to cheer up
Heathen Chemistry - person who tries to hard to be like Morning Glory and is disliked by a lot due to this
Don't Believe The Truth - person who was loved when they first turned up but now people find annoying
Dig Out Your Soul - person who has up and down days and on a good day people like them but on their down days, people hate them

I still have that lovely Liam picture from Dublin on my desktop at work and today asked a collegue to come over and help me with a problem. He pointed at Liam and said: "He knows the answer!" Highly doubt that! Then he said, in German, "Try it like that." Then, in English: "Do you know what I mean?" And when he went back to his own workplace, he was singing "D'you know what I mean?" Beautiful, especially as that's the same guy that called Oasis "Bridge pop"! |

Listening to the Masterplan today, it doesn't get much better than Acquiesce does it. Makes me sad though thinking of all the people who will never have seen Noel and Liam sing it together

I lived in Hampstead as a child. At the end of my street was a pub. I didn’t learn this until a decade later, but the Gallagher brothers would frequent that pub regularly. How fucking cool is that!? |

This made me proper happy! I'm in a Finnish Oasis facebook group and some woman, who's an English teacher, posted this and said she's using it to teach her students   Students listening to the song and then fill the gaps with correct lyrics  |
