It’s all about the middle eight. Why the fuck it’s a single, only Noel knows. Even he doesn't, I think he says so during the Time Flies interview. Says it's good, a grooving track, but a single? Your guess is as good as his. |

It just occurred to me that I have no idea how to pronounce "Gem". Is it with a hard "G" or a soft "G" like a gemstone? And you call yourself an Oasis fan? I’m not angry, I’m just very disappointed. |

You don't listen to Wonderwall in months, then you hear it and you instantly rediscover what a fucking incredible song it is.
From many points of view it really is the best thing Oasis ever did. Absolute pop PERFECTION.

Absolute pop PERFECTION. It's a brilliant song. I know some think it was overplayed and it's always the song that non Oasis fans associate with the band but imagine if Liam or Noel released that today. |

It's crazy how much Shakermaker has grown on me over time. It was just an ok tune at first but now I fuckin love it tbh. And the video is one of my favourites as well, basically just 5 lads taking the piss the whole time, absolutely ridiculous PS.: it's also Let It Bleed favourite oasis video since there's a cat in it It’s all about the middle eight. Put Acquiesce instead of Talk Tonight. Talk Tonight flows perfectly from Underneath the Sky and mixes the album up a bit, giving a lovely emotional middle before Some Might Say rocks up. Acquiesce, I think, is too pop for DM, too heavy for MG, not grandiose enough for Be Here Now. Maybe should have been a bonus track or something. |

^^ nice one having them both in the press over here.
Listened to that Noel/Gem Toronto gig from 2006 this evening. Hell I would kill for another of these acoustic shows even if the setlist would probably be a lot different but anyway still absolutely outstanding and simply shows Noel is the best songwriter of the last 25 years. No other opinion accepted here haha
Cast No Shadow, Listen Up, Slide Away in that arrangement... Beyond amazing
