I hated Noel's rendition of IGTBF even on the NGHFB 2011 tour, too - but granted it the symbolism that Noel was not-too-subtlety going for. But this malarkey needs to stop now. The symbolism was lost once the second record and consequent tour began. It's just a dull, plodding song that doesn't pump up or set the gig appropriately for what's to come. Why the hell he has continued with it, I do not know. Let's voice our disapproval in the hope that Management are reading (AND IF MANAGEMENT ARE INDEED READING: RE-LEASE THE BHN RE-MASTER YER USELESS TWATS! ).

What for? It's one of his finest songs. He just needs to move it to the middle instead of the beginning.

Uninspiring? Idk if we're even listening to the same song! Ps I take back what I said. I will only allow Noel to continue playing this if he invites Bonehead on stage to play the accordion coda.

It's Good to Be Free is a really good tune, but what hurts the song is the way it ends. It ends so abruptly that it doesn't allow the song to bloom any further from what it comes to with the guitar solo, and that sucks, because it has some seriously tight vibes to it that ends too soon. As a result, the song suffers a bit in a live setting, and I think Noel needs to change it up every now and then by doing the acoustic version for parts of the tour & the electric version for the others. Either that, or just replace it in favor of one of the new songs, but for the love of God, not in favor of Wonderwall in the Ryan Adams cover arrangement, or Noel's country-fried version of Whatever.

What for? It's one of his finest songs. He just needs to move it to the middle instead of the beginning. It is a great song, but then he has many in his catalogue that he overlooks because the are from "the wrong era" i.e. DM & WTSMG. If he took some inspiration from someone he claims to be a massive fan of such as Neil Young then he could easily create a set list that mixed current album songs with well known classics, as well as throwing in the odd lesser known track. I know people have said that his audience only goes for the classics but even if that is true, one of the best methods of getting people into your other work must surely be to play them two or three lesser known examples whilst they are at a show, which is where they will be likely to be most open to them.

I would say when it comes down to every b-side on the Masterplan, except for Acquiesce and the Masterplan, it's pretty clear why they're b-sides. I actually really like It's Good To Be Free. It has a bit of a different vibe than the other Oasis songs, especially with the false start, it ending on that sweet solo, and then the hilarity of the end. It's bombastic, yet humanizing at the same time. My main issue with it is that the lyrics are pretty good, but Noel being Noel just repeats them. It would have nice if he thought up what? Four lines? Overall, it's a good song that's been beaten to death.
