By all accounts its going to be in HD, but then the interesting component is which format? Although the bands LP obligations have been fullfilled with epic/sony, I have no idea in regards to video. I would assume its still sony, seeing that I have not heard otherwise. That being the case, HD lovers will almost certainly have to either posess or purchase a blu-ray player to watch it in hd, as sony continues to staunchly support blu ray exclusively. I have a ps3 so I know I'll be good to go...sorrry to all of you hd dvd owners!!!

they have already announced at least an HD version with: "stunning surround sound". I of course do not doubt it will have a standard def edition as well.

Hopefully Sony supports Blu-Ray, it is their own format. ;D
But no versions for HD-DVD or Blu-Ray have been announced. If anything, they probably mean the concert will play in 420p.

here in the UK i still think it will be a standard DVD release. of course, if you have a DVD player that upscales to 1080p (unlike the PS3) then that will be the only way

I think in the states it'll be release in regular dvd format along with the obligatory HD. I hear ya on the blu ray bit, but, its not on most consumers minds yet, most of us are still on the whole HD bit. Maybe if it was released next year, that would of been a major issue. but, Id go with Blu Ray over HD.
