A bit of an Arctic Monkeys rip off, but they're by far better than the Catfish and whatever to me , if you're into stuff like that. Band from Manchester,i'm ok with them.

I'm averse to anything described as 'indie' 'upcoming' and 'British' down to horrible knock off Oasis and Arctic Monkeys tribute acts destroying the genre (i.e. The Enemy, Brother, Catfish, etc, etc) from its peak brilliance of the Britpop years. It's fallen away so horribly.
But Blossoms have potential. Their tune Charlemegne is a stormer - sounds like Suede doing ABBA (as Noel would probably say!), a really great tune - I first heard it on BBC 6 Music some weeks ago and it grabbed me instantly in a way that an indie/alt band hadn't done since maybe Club Foot by Kasabian. Judging by this song, they seem to GET it by being able to write a catchy hook and not just look 'cool' to cover up their deficiencies like many try hards do today.

This section of this forum is my second home and this is why I love this place.
I've never heard of them before, but I like what I just heard and they "sound like Suede doing ABBA" indeed! Wanna check more of them. Thanks guys for recommending.

^I second that! Charlemagne is one hell of a tune and sounds pretty mature for such a young band - not the typical style-over-substance twentysomethings blasting out worn out riffs in black leather jackets. They're also among a couple of indie bands supporting/touring with The Libertines which isn't a bad thing.
