Could be a pretty good song if it was remixed and restructured a bit. I find it a bit of a missed opportunity. Cool lyrics though

I like it a lot, but Liam's voice sounds awful on it. One of my favourites on HC though.

Didn't like it years ago, think it's the best song on the album now.

I really like this song, and I think it's the one time in HC where the underproduction works in favor of the song song, it gives it an eerie vibe.

One of my favourite Oasis songs. Probably in my top 10. Definitely needs a remaster though, the production is a bit muddy.

It is amazing, especially the "lonely soul" part. When I heard it for the first time, I didn't like it but now it's one of my favourite Liam-written songs.

Because of this song I'm excited for the Heathen Chemistry reissue. I hope Noel will remix the whole album

This is probably in my top 3 Liam penned tunes, definitely in my top 5. Amazing song. One of the best of HC and one of the reasons why I think HC is better than DBTT!

BTW yes I'm sorry for the flood of memes- it's my equivalent of verbal diarrhoea

Gas Panic's younger brother, as written by the younger brother of the one who wrote Gas Panic!. Kind of fitting.
Anyways, this song would've done well with the SOTSOG production, but the raw sound works for the hard-hitting lyrics and feel of the song. This really should have been the closer to HC, with Idler's Dream as a hidden track. I think that would've been a good way to close out the album, instead of Better Man, and the loooonnnnggg wait for The Cage.

The song has interesting ideas but I hate the way it was recorded. Too raw, sounds like a demo. Not a fan of Liam's vocals on it. This song needed some serious SOTSOG treatment. It would have shined very brightly on that album. Fuck, where were you BOADC in 2000?!?!?!??!

World71R - Officially a better producer than Dave Sardy, and should have produced the post BHN material (Though how much of a compliment that first part actually is is subjective to opinion.... )

Never liked it - another derivative rehash of John Lennon's solo work.

Never liked it - another derivative rehash of John Lennon's solo work. Liam IS John Lennon matt !! Surely you remember it being told how his spirit entered a young William John Paul Gallagher and created the snarling front man of the all conquering Oasis? Just forget that later on he also claimed seeing Ian Brown fronting The Stone Roses sparked his desire to be a singer himself
