Does anyone have any news/rumours on this?
He dropped the Dreams single, which was mint, then... silence!

Can't answer your question, but if I wanted to get into Beck where would I start?

Can't answer your question, but if I wanted to get into Beck where would I start? Odelay is probably his "classic" album. He's quite varied though. Mellow Gold, Odelay & Guero are his most poppy sample heavy albums. Sea Change & Morning Phase are more acoustic, breakup/come down type records. Midnite Vultures is Prince. The Information is mostly indie hip hop. Here's my introductory best of with tunes from every major album: Loser Devil's Haircut Where It's At The New Polution Tropicalia Sexx Laws Mixed Bizness Paper Tiger E-Pro Black Tambourine Cellphone's Dead Gamma Ray Blue Moon Dreams

I know both Loser and Where It's At as both were well overplayed on US radios so much at the time. In fact, Loser has always turned me off of Beck - probably because I was in Middle School at the time, and associate that song with that awkward life phase.
So I assume Beck is worth checking out beyond Loser and Where It's At, then?

It was re-released in '94 when he signed to Geffen.

Famously Noel talked up Loser in early Oasis interviews as one of few contemporary songs he loved way back in 1994. Hejumped at the chance of collaborating, adding guitar to his remix of devils haircut for a b-side in 1996.

Can't answer your question, but if I wanted to get into Beck where would I start? It's probably not a common answer , but Morning Phase is my favourite

After a bit of Googling here's what I can find about the new album: Beck: "“It started out as a heavy garage rock thing and became much more of a dance — some kind of hybrid." He's co-writing it with Greg Kurstin who has written for Beyoncé, Lilly Allen and Foster The People. Which is probably why Dreams sounds so poppy. Nile Rodgers recorded with him back in Aug. He recorded with Pharrell before Get Lucky and Happy were released. There's a second album's worth of material recorded in the vein of Morning Phase which probably won't ever get released. Here's a really good detailed article on all the stuff he's worked on in the last few years: thefutureheart.com/2015/06/18/beck-2015-album-recording-nile-rodgers/

Love Dreams, Where's at, Loser, Devils haircut(the NG remix was kind of odd but cool as well), E-pro(cant go wrong with na-na-na-na-na's), Sexx Laws, but I find his acoustic work way too downtempo/depressing for me, can't listen to his two LP's that are like that(Sea Change and Morning Phaze). I did listen to Guero once a few years back, but didn't went for other albums after that.
