lol I'm sure Noel has slagged JBJ off plenty of times before, why can't it be good for the goose if it's good for the gander? Perhaps you guys didn't realize that Bon Jovi was inducted into the UK hall of fame back in November, and they were slated to be the opening 2 shows in the new Wembley stadium? Maybe you were unaware that "Blaze of Glory" was nominated for an oscar and won a golden globe? Maybe you never heard that they have sold about 40 million records in the USA but 120 million over the entire world? Slippery When Wet has moved close to 30 million by itself! Sure, Noel wrote DM and he absolutely is a legend, but I don't see how what JBJ did is any different than Noel ranting about American bands that can't sell in the UK. Well, there's that entire thing that Bon Jovi is shit and all. You can throw sales figures, awards, stadiums filled, etc but it doesn't matter when your music is shit. I'm sure Britney Spears and Nsync sold a shit load of albums, won some awards, and sold out stadiums but doesn't mean they are good at all. Bon Jovi are shit, dinosaurs who should just give up. By the way, how did an album get nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe? I thought they were for movies?

If you think they are shit that's A-OK you are entitled to that, but isn't JBJ entitled to his opinions too? I happen to love the older stuff, pretty much anything before 2000 is great. The later stuff is weaker but who cares? The song was "Blaze of Glory" from the movie Young Guns II. It was nominated for best song from a film. In fact JBJ did the entire soundtrack solo for YGII and even if you think he is shit you would be surprised to find just how good the album is.

Fact is that in the states: 1. Robbie is a retard who hasn't released any songs save for Angel and a few people might remember Millienium 2. Doherty is "that british junkie who dates kate moss" and not a musician 3. Just about everyone who heard David Beckham got a $250 million dollar contract to play for the Galaxy said first "Who are the LA Galaxy?" then they said - WHAT?? A SOCCER TEAM??$250 mil to play SOCCER?? Isn't he past his prime?[/i] 4. Oasis are just not very popular! They can sell out shows in NY and California/Vegas no problem but everywhere else they just aren't very popular! But that's OK with me, where in the world but Houston would I be able to buy front row tickets to see oasis for just $55 each? Front row tix here in London would cost more than I make in 3 months!

1. The USA is like the only country where robbie is not big. It leaves him the rest of the world 2. Doherty IS a musician The new Babyshambles is out soon. 3. I repeat that filling up a stadium for a soccer game on David Beckham's name only is something big. 4. My tickets for oasis were 28€ and i was front row It was sold out in a matter or hours. They're not mainstream but they fill up venues all around the world, not only in GB. I'm a fan of none of these people except for oasis but you can't deny they've achieved a lot and are still doing great.

He is entitled to his opinion about Oasis' music, but he should do some research before saying they couldn't fill a bar
I think the guy is a poser and a sellout myself. He's making a big pile of steaming poo and selling it as chocolate.

This is all a bit funny.... Howcome so many rants about a Jon Bonjovi quote? Who really gives a shit. Bottom line: Bon Jovi have sold a SHITLOAD of albums over the last 20+ years. Like it or not. It's no good to call Bon Jovi a bunch of washed up dinosaurs cause if Noel's still goin at it in 10 years time that's exactly what everyone will be calling him... and I bet there will be a few of us that are up in arms over it.... If anything, JBJ is probably jealous that Oasis are a much better live band than his own.... I even bet he owns all of Oasis' albums lol....

My problem with Bon Jovi, is in my book is he is soo friggin cheesy, growing up on Long ISland and going to New Jeresy ALOT I just associated him with the shite hole New Jeresy is, and the big hair, stupid accents and stone wash pants that was NJ in the 80's.... Bon jovi is not real rock n roll to me and for him to insult a band that LIVES and breathes rock n roll with this general uninformed opinion, just pisses the hell out me. Noel knows what he talking about most of the time, he is totally right about American bands and record companies, its all about the cash and you dont have to be actually talented to sell alot of records. As for Oasis not selling out here...well I have been to 23 Oasis gigs, 22 in the US and Canada and EVERY ONE has been sold out....were talking, Baltimore, Cleveland, Toronto...Vegas....they dont play huge arenas here, there more like amphitheaters, they are perfect for Oasis. As for that MSG gig.... other than maybe seeing oasis in Manchester, that gig was AMAZING!!! got a little "something" as well from that gig lol

I don't watch American Idol... I remember seeing a commercial for it so my credibilty is intact. I also recall at the time saying "that figures that that clown who couldn't lick Oasis' shit would go on AI to further his record sales." Also, meanstreak, are you seriously defending Bon Jovi? I'm mean, think about what your saying and where. Youre on an Oasis forum defending Bon Jovi... I guess people can have different likes but shit, he SUCKS!! I mean just FUCKIN AWFUL. Everything JennyS was right on.. Nice one, dear

Just admit it dude, you watch AI!! lol but ya I like Bon Jovi, of course I am older than most on the forum so I have fond memories of being a kid and the tunes of the 80s. I personally think Bon Jovi has made some great stuff and listen to lots of it all the time. Doesn't mean I like oasis any less!

There's no need to throw sales figures and nominations around to defend your opinion, mainly because those usually can be turned around. Saying that you like them is all you really need to do.

As for that MSG gig.... other than maybe seeing oasis in Manchester, that gig was AMAZING!!! got a "little something" as well from that gig lol care to elaborate?!

Does JBJ give Desmond Child any credit? His biggest hits he EVER had were co-written!!! What a loser!
As an American (correct me brits) I feel that Oasis are a national treasure for the UK.
If someone says the same for Bon Jovi in the U.S., I'd puke!
Go Cheap Trick!!
