Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the recording is going so fast... I imagine Noel wants to get the hard stuff (recording) out of the way before his kid is born.

I'm willing to bet that those 8 songs that are completed were tunes that the boys had recorded for the DIV sessions before they were sacked and Sardy came on board... They probably just tweaked a few tracks here and there, maybe added vocals, changed this bit and that bit, etc, etc...
Hopefully, this album may be a bit longer than the last few... Those 8 tunes plus Noel's new "belters'' plus the tune from LDSMD along with a tune or 2 from Liam, Gem, and Andy...?....??...Maybe we'll have a new Oasis album with 14 or 15 tracks... One can wish anyway......

My source is in London.
Recording is moving very quickly due to Noel's impending child and Dave Sardy's future commitments

Knowing Oasis, that seems EXTREMELY unlikely. I will say I hope you're right though.
What is the connection your London source has to the band?

Who is drumming with the band at the moment? I am seriously interested in that. Most of the guys don't care, but for me music is a collective part of people's instruments and talents and I am interested if Starkey is with the band at the moment.

dietcoke doesn't have a source. Its pretty logical that they're going to want to plow through the recording fairly quickly, but don't get your hopes up for anything terribly soon. LDSMD is probably supposed to placate us for a little while. Kalas guesses that the timeframe will be similar to DBTT... album out late Spring, tour beginning in the summer. And I'm willing to bet he's right.

My source is someone who works for Oasis. I do not know if Zak is palying drums. I will ask. Thanks to "castlecraver for the insult. If you read my previous posts you will see I have had previous insight into concert dates long before they were announced. I must be receiving information from somewhere???

Ohhhh the rumour mill!!!
Songs- "They've got nothing on you, they've go nothing on me" "The Roller"
Album Titles- Long Time Servant Of The Gun Ear Has no Memory (got close on that one)
If they are recording in London (unlike Los Angeles), there must be mobs of people surrounding the studio that would have some answers.
I hope you're right diet!!

This could be bad news, if true, though. If you're right, and they're recording very quickly, there is a high probability that the album will sound rushed, will it not?

Hmm.. A rushed album with too many distractions? I think Noel was right, it will be another Be Here Now!

Let me reiterate. The album, thus far, has not been rushed... Those 8 tunes were left overs from the DBTT sessions...

Let me reiterate. The album, thus far, has not been rushed... Those 8 tunes were left overs from the DBTT sessions... But then the question is, are those 8 songs worse than the ones on DBTT? Cos it sounds like they are second-rate since they were left off.... I just want to hear STC, Boy With the Blues, and that mysterious song on LDSMD
