Is Zak recording with the band at the moment? As far as I know the Who finished recording around July in Helsinki I think. I hope that Zak will be the new band's drummer and will stay around for the next couple of albums. I spotted some fan's photos with the band, but I don't know if any of these fans asked Noel or Liam if Zak is recording with the band and what will be his future status in the band.

honestly, i believe zak is the best drummer oasis has ever had, so to lose him would be beyond stupid. i haven't heard terry's drumming in a full set of the band, so i couldn't say about him. he did a stellar job on the record two years ago, though.

The only track Terry contributed to DBTT was on Mucky Fingers (i'm probably wrong) and that sounded ok to me... Who cares about the drummer anyway? lol.

I do. You are right. Kirkbride only drummed on this track. Starkey did all of the session work, including b-sides. And Kirkbride's drumming wasn't that inspiring at all. The song for me was a little bit shallow.

Zak will be drumming on the next album and on the next world tour. why else would have Oasis paid off Alan White so that Zak could be an official member of the band? Zak brings more of a kick to the band's sound than any other drummer that has worked with them and I'm certain Noel and the rest of the band will be trying to keep Zak behind the drums as long as they possibly can (becuase he's a great drummer, not only the son of a Beatle).

to be honest, i kinda adgree with novascotialad. i think its time fot zak to shit or get off the proverbial pot, so to speak. I'm sure it's unintended, but im starting to get the feeling like he just wants his cake and eat it too (sorry bout the double cliches!). Oasis is hardly some mickey mouse operation, and if he cant dedicate himself fully to the band, then maybe its time to part ways and let him get on with his who gig. And dont give me the bullshit about him doing favours for oasis either...give me a break, whose doing who favours anyway? Besides, like it or not, we're talking about a DRUMMER here. Its not like ZAK hooked up with them and they exploded after he wrote 3 number one singles. I know it might continue to work like this, and i guess thats fine cuz its not my band, but c'mon, enough is enough, you're in or you're out. ne1 agree?

Yeah, kind of what I am thinking too, but Noel Gallagher said that "he's definitely playing on the next album and definitely going out on a tour, if he wants to" and he also said that he feels (I also feel) that Zak has deep emotional and personal ties with the Who and that he wouldn't leave them completely. I just want to know if he is playing with them at the moment on the new album. If they are really in the studio, what's happening? There should be someone behind the drumming stool. Yeah, I know that most of the members brag that they are good enough drummers themselves, but that's not something I am totally willing to believe you know. It's like the time when Ringo said that he was lucky in being 'surrounded by three frustrated drummers' who could only drum in one style. While McCartney was able fill in for Starr on "Back in USSR", he do not possess the smoothness and dexterity Starr had. That's what I also think. While Noel undoubtedly can drum, I don't think he can do it as good as any professional drumer as Zak or Alan can.
