Bizarre story. Hasn't Peter Hook been playing solo gigs like "Joy Division experience" past years? New Order would have never been complete without one of them, Berny and Hook.

I'm not on anyone's side either. I don't think that New Order is doing anything wrong though.

I have no idea about the money side, but as far as going on under that name without Hook - who left - is concerned, I can understand both sides. Live I enjoyed them both, New Hookless Order (and I like "Music complete") as well as his Peter Hook & The Light. But then, I came late to that party as well.

At least New Order are coming up with new material. I heard that Hook was better live though.

Hooky generally has much better setlists since he plays entire albums instead of just the hits, I'd still say Barney is the better singer though. Agreed on Music Complete, really solid effort.

You mean Bernard? Also I forgot to mention that Hooky still earns money from playing New Order's songs...

Maybe he had a very off day, but when I saw Hook & Light live, I'd have said that he was not a singer at all! He was just not very good, technically, etc. The music was sublime, though. Well, of course it was, it was "Unknown pleasures"! But they really did it justice, musically. I'd have loved to see them playing NO as well, but they chose to ignore us here the last tour.

I had no idea there was any animosity between Hook and the rest of New Order. Stephen Morris was on BBC 6 Music last week, and everything seemed fine.
