65% for the Beatles... Ouch. I'm fairly sure I want you (she's so heavy) isn't the last one they worked on together.

85% on The Beatles. And I agree with Mean Mrs. Mustard, that 'fact' about I Want You being the last song they all recorded together has to be rubbish. Ian Macdonald's Revolution In The Head shows there were way more tracks being worked on after that song where they all contributed. Perhaps they mean that it was the last time they all were in the studio playing live at the same time as opposed to recording parts separately, but I don't think they played live at all on that album.

Perhaps they mean that it was the last time they all were in the studio playing live at the same time as opposed to recording parts separately, but I don't think they played live at all on that album. Taken from The Beatles recording sessions The official Abbey Road Studio Session Notes 1962-1970 by Mark Lewisohn 1988. Wed 20 Aug 1969 2:30 PM - 1:15 AM. Stereo mixing I Want You. Editing I Want You. Master tape banding and tape copying Abbey Road LP. Lots of verbiage regarding I want You. "After the complexities of I Want You (She's so Heavy) the remainder of this session was dedicated to compiling and banding the final master tape for the entire Abbey Road album"... Last paragraph entry this date- "All four Beatles attended this decisive Abbey Road mix and running order session. It was the last time that they were together inside the recording studio from were they changed the face of popular music." Hope this helps. Oh and 80% on the Beatle quiz.
