The welsh band (they're all around 17 yr old) released the new single, Yesterday's Hottest record on BBC Radio 1.
They're also supporting Noel at the O2 Apollo.

And all I hear when the geezer on vocals shouts, is Jarvis Cocker in that Harry Potter movie he was in

They are a great upcoming band, no other newcomers I've seen or heard compare with them.
Listen to "National Plastics", their best song yet
Also, on ther Fb/Twitter you'll find an acoustic version of a song by them called This World Is Not Enough, has such potential, shows they can write a tune.

I still don't know if I like them. Surely people will call them an NME hyped band because that's what happens. And they'll judge their dressing style because, you know, when you play punk-rock music you should dress up as a japanese ninja or an arabian Sheikh.

National Plastics is a tune Heard it now, not bad! I like the vocals I've gotta say. I've always loved early Kelly Jones' vocals and that kid, the singer, is kinda similar.

Did you write better songs at 17?

Did you write better songs at 17? No. But then I'm not in a band.

saw them live recently, didnt know anything about them but gotta say they were pretty entertaining, even though the vocals were way too quiet in the mix, theyve got a tune called just another story which is pretty good

was reading an interview with them though and they were asked what music they were into/inspired by, and one of them mentioned that they used to be into oasis when they were younger but have grown out of them, thought that was a bit pretentious like

They must have been 10 years old in 2008 when DOYS was released.
I believe Johnny Marr was also pretty young, or the Buzzcocks...
I'd like a group of people to step out and finally do justice to the art of creating music again! Come on, it's 2015! Music should expand.

I really do admire Britain's enthusiasm for discovering and still supporting rock n' roll bands, just a damn shame that its almost always mediocre. Kids got promise but this is just boring. Wouldn't really take offense to the Oasis comment, obviously their teenagers trying to be cool. The Oasis hate over the years has kinda waned, people even from my generation (23-28) have warmed up to them since they've split.

Johnny was 45 when DOYS was released...(but he was quite young when The Smiths were born). I'm not a believer of Radio 1's/NME's "Hottest record" and "The next big thing". Some of them are good, some not. What I want and what I like doesn't need to be the hottest record or the next Oasis. In fact I don't need the "next" Oasis because for me there was/will always be one Oasis.

From what I've heard I like them more than Dogshit & The Bottlemen. They're not exactly my cup of tea but I can see a lot of teenagers liking them in the near future, and that's not a bad thing.

The problem I see is that pretty much every good/successfull rock/indie band of the 21st century started out great - many of them never reached the quality of their debut again. So whenever a new band comes around with "promise" but the songs themselves aren't actually that good, I am pretty skeptical. How many young bands started out alright, then went on to do amazing things?
Also, I wonder why a band made of 17 and 18 year olds need to release an album right away. Look at the Stone Roses - they waited for years until their debut was finished, and it was great. Noel was 26 when DM was released (and definitely not 17 when he wrote Live Forever).

We are in the era of "Now or I'll forget you in 5 seconds" which is bad for newer bands.
