Such a shame Noel kept flogging this. I really liked the oasis original and war child version. And loved it the first few times with Noel solo acoustic tour. But come NGHFB it's basically ruined...like an unwanted child that appitomise the fact he doesn't change things around enough.
Sad I now hate this song

The song is completely dead to me also. Its actually one of my least favourite Oasis tracks from the glory years however.

I really like the song, both the original version and the more recent Noel acoustic one.
If only he hadn't used it as opener for every fucking gig in his first tour...

I don't like the acoustic Noel version, and I don't like the original studio version. I love the live version of it, it's a little bit faster

what the hell is going on here? Good version. Its certainly a track I think they were actually wise to use as a b-side. Definitely not album worthy imo, like so many of the b-sides from that era.

If you believe Noel in that it was written with Talk Tonight on his lost LV to SF road trip in 1994 then it was too late for DM anyway, and doesn't fit with WTSMG. Agree it's a b-side regardless as that driving riff sort of song was already well covered on Definitely Maybe at any rate.

It was a witty opener for his first solo tour but got old pretty quick. It's a tune though, I could never hate it. I find Fade Away being done on this tour more annoying.

The acoustic solo version - meh, Noel has many many better songs.
The album/b-side version with Liam on vocals though...love it. Sharp, distinctive sound, and Liam sounding as good as he ever did - "head like a rock spinning rooouuuund and rooooouuuund..."

The original studio version is one of the best b-sides the band ever released. Contemplative yet frustrated and angry, great Liam vocals, amazing guitar solo, and even an eerie accordion coda! This song has it all.

I love everything about the original: the dark almost sarcastic mood, the riffs and outrageous solo, accordion coda. Brilliant.
And I love how Noel reimagined the song, turning it into something completely different. And it was a great opener, without a doubt.
Just got tired of it after opening gigs with it for 6 years.

what the hell is going on here? The band sounds pretty tight in this performance. The sound is good, and even Liam, who sounded a tad bit drunk and worn out, was good too.

The Evening Session version and the one from Glastonbury 1995 are absolute my favourites. I have no problem with Noel's stripped back version, but give me these 2 anyday.

All spot on. The original is great. So many good things about it. Very underrated tune in this forum I think. "You demand the answers, but I don't know whyyyyy, in my miiiiind there is no tiiiiime". Fantastic combined with Liam's voice.

Actually really like every version. It's far from being the song that disturb me the most. It's not the greatest thing he has ever written, but it's still a good song, with rather good lyrics. Just imagine it on an album like HC or DBTT, it will be a top 3 track of the album
