Which one was the best to you? I personally think The Hindu Times was the best and reminded me a bit of the older Oasis

The Hindu Times. Very underrated song and great b-sides. I love all the single of Heathen Chemistry, good b-sides and nice artwork. Columbia on the Songbird single is epic!

Can't love The Hindu Times with the demo being one of the best things they ever did and the official verision being mind meltingly MOR in comparison.
Stop Crying Your Heart Out
And I suspect that's a bit shite too.

1) The Hindu Times 2) Little By Little/She Is Love 3) Stop Crying Your Heart Out 4) Songbird
Good song The Hindu Times. It's criminal that the band wrote so few genuine rock songs post Be Here Now and one of the biggest mistakes they made I reckon.

Agreed. I think all the genuine rock songs that were like the 90s Oasis was almost completely gone by the time of DBTT.

Stop Crying Your Heart Out.
They missed out some really brilliant ideas during this period, especially with the singles. The Hindu Times would've been better with the demo drum loop and droning sounds, while Little by Little needed Shout it Out Loud, its "sister song", to be the other A-side on the single, and in the place of Probably All in the Mind on the album and so on with that stuff...

Songbird. Somehow this Liam song manages to be so much better than Noel's songs from the same period because it's just so simple and direct.

I just kind of disregard she is love. Little by Little is good enough by itself. But these singles are perfect, some of the best stuff Oasis ever did, and on par with all but the best 2-3 songs from the first two albums. The Hindu Times is criminally underrated, If Oasis reformed and did a greatest hits tour I'd be heartbroken if it was omitted. I'd love to see it as an opener, although I doubt we would. So what if the demo has better drums, or better lyrics? The finished version has Liam fucking Gallagher. That's good enough for me.
Goddamn I love that song. Liam's vocal is immense, the chorus so buoyant and defiant. 'And I get so high I just can't feel it'. Hell fucking yes

Though the poll is evenly split, I think we can all agree that She Is Love was the absolute worst single choice in their career.

Wasn't Liam's voice pitched up and then slowed down or something on The Hindu Times? There was something about it, but can't exactly remember what.

Songbird. The Hindu Times is a close second, especially with Idler's Dream as the b-side.

Little By Little. It's the only song from that album I can come back to.

The demo had amazing elements to it all ignored on final version. What a waste of an opportunity. I'm not sure of the time line but if as I suspect the Hindu Times Demo was written around the time of the Giants sessions they really should have finished it and made it the dark/moody but still Oasis sounding comeback single that album needed, However if I am wrong and it came after I agree totally with your point that making it so poppy was the wrong way to go. Would love to one day hear a Liam vocal of the demo version.

I listened to stop crying your heart out on youtube at x1.5 speed today, actually sounds quite nice at a faster speed, its more like the older oasis songs.

IMO, Heathen Chemistry is the only Oasis album were the singles are the only really good songs..
As for the poll, I have to say "Little by Little". It feels like Noel's last genuine attempt at a Some Might Say/Don't Look back in Anger type Rock song. And even though it doesn't quiet reach these standards it atleast sound creative/imaginative and not just slapped together like they COULD have done, given that they legacy was already well in place by 2002.
