It buggers me that this genius of a man is so afraid of changes and opinions. Sure his own opinion is the most important but why so afraid? I heard an interview where he said about rarities and didnt like that only about 11 people throughout the gig were liking it and I think he would rather people come along, hit them with a big batch of big songs and let them go away happy, if songs like BOTMI are stalling the energy throughout the gig then I guess I get why he no longer wants it in there, if people are having a good time then I guess the setlist is doing its job. If lets say one night he decides to leave out DLBIA and play magic pie instead, to us fans, we would be pretty pleased to hear something different but to the people who were at the gig, they would probably be dissappointed because they missed the chance to hear DLBIA live especially since Noel has a lot of casual fans nowadays because of his solo stuff. Yeah thats full of logic and I understand the argument but its a shame. |

Everyone would be happy I was just using that as an extreme example, he wouldnt drop DLBIA he said it himself, he wouldnt make it out of there if he didnt play it, you have to remember that its no fun for anyone (including the band) if they are playing a rare b side and no-one is interested, its just boring and maybe even akward, couple that with Noel being abit lazy and probably isnt that bothered about playing different tunes then it becomes quite clear as to why we dont see different songs. |

I havent stopped thinking about it all day. Queuing up outside in the cold for 2hrs was worth it to be at the front row and see that acoustic set. We were so close to him and it was a real treat to see the slide away etc. I went to the bar and watched half the main set from the back before making my way out. It was worth the trip for that 40 mins though
