Was at Birmingham last night, standing fairly close to the front. There was a fantastic sing-along to every song. The set-list was similar to recent dates, great to finally hear Spaceman and Listen Up live after all these years. Slightly disappointed he had dropped Sad Song for Talk Tonight but pleased to hear Record Machine again. The performance was certainly a lot sharper than at the start of the tour (saw them in Nottingham) and obviously everyone knew the Chasing Yesterday's songs better now. I thought Lock All The Doors and The Mexican were particularly good in that respect. The big song for me was Champagne Supernova - it makes you realise that if Oasis ever got back together it would just be a monumentally massive event. The songs just mean so much to so many people, its incredibly emotional being there in the crowd with everyone singing every word. Awesome! You missed nothing with Sad Song. It wasn't a good version the way he peformed it.

At "our" gig he did both Sad Song and Talk Tonight, and I really fell in love with that version of Talk Tonight. It's one of those sincere Noel songs.

I'd rather have Sad Song than Talk Tonight in the setlist.
Talk Tonight is a great song but I got a bit bored of it. This electric version though...

I actually liked "Sad Song" in that version, so I am pretty song, ah, sad, he dropped it. Well, we'll see tonight. Already in Bournemouth (in an internet cafe, so they DO exist in UK, surfing on my mobile is dire so I only do when I absolutely have to) and I already have seen my first Liam double. Who of you was it?

I've always liked Sad Song (both the original and the full band version). I've nothing against Talk Tonight, it's an excellent song but I've just heard it a lot and it would have been nice to hear something different.
It's only a minor, personal, grumble!

My friend in Manchester sent me a couple of pictures from last night's gig. He said that Noel was brilliant and it was the best of his gigs he's seen.

Noel has just been confirmed for Lowlands Festival, taking place in Biddinghuizen in the Netherlands on August 19, 20 and 21.

I'm very pleased that Frightened Rabbit are a special guest for his Swansea show. I've been supporting them since 2007. They're brilliant. carlober, I really hope he'll come to play in Italy very soon.

Stay safe and enjoy tonight!
Thank you very much, I most certainly did! And now I can announce that this time, in Bournemouth, I "got" usually unloved "Champagne Supernova" and really felt it for the first time for the song so beloved by so many.
During the last songs, from the balcony I could see a darkhaired woman appearing on the side of the stage and really having fun and dancing, especially during "What a life!" and "Don't look back in anger" and I am pretty sure that was Mrs. NG. Lovely!
And, yes, there IS something ridiculously joyful singing DLBIA with a broad and happy and stupid grin on your face together with all the others. That also was felt more powerfully in Bournoel.
There was a little boy sitting in front of me, who also sang along, word for word, at least DLBIA and "Wonderwall". A man, maybe the dad, was looking at him, bursting with pride. That was quite sweet as well!

^ DLBIA really is Noel's Hey Jude. It's so joyful, EVERYONE always sings along and you can't help but wear a big stupid grin on your face, like you said. You just can't stop smiling. I don't know what it is.

That was quite sweet as well! Great to hear your story and also about a little boy, joladella. My friend and his wife were at Bournemouth gig last Saturday too. He sent me a couple of pictures during the gig from phone, telling me "this is the best of his gigs I've ever seen". In Amsterdam there was a little boy with his dad too and Noel dedicated the boy "If I Had A Gun". Being there with thousands of people and sing along songs word for word is something, something what you can't describe in a word.

I forgot to say Serge from Kasabian was at the Birmingham gig on Friday. He was sat behind the speakers but was stood up arms outstretched and shouting his head off to Listen Up!

Just announced: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will play London’s O2 Brixton Academy on Tuesday 6th September!
This extremely special gig will mark the first time Noel has ever graced the iconic venue as a headline act... with either NGHFB or Oasis. It will also conclude the band’s live shows in 2016.
Tickets will go on sale at 10am Friday 17th June, with an exclusive fan pre-sale on Wednesday 15th June at 10am.
Please note: tickets will be limited to x2 per person and the name of the lead booker will be printed on each ticket. The lead booker must be in attendance and photo ID checks will be made on entry into the venue. If the ID does not match entry will be refused. If you are booking more than one ticket your guest must enter the concert together with you. Failure to do so will result in the guest being turned away.
