Went to the Brussels gig last night. Everybody's on the run is such a great gig opener. Don't care much for Lock all the doors, but In the heat of the moment is amazing live. Three songs in the gig, the band had to go offstage because of technical difficulties, with Noels guitar pedals I thought. 20 minuts later they returned and played the rest of the usual set. I was very happy to hear Ballad Of The Mighty I again. He sang it really well, and it sounds massive live. Champagne Supernova was a magical moment with the whole crowd singing it word for word. Amazes me how this song got more popular then when Oasis played in Belgium. Also very happy to hear Listen Up! Crowd went mental for The Masterplan as well, but stayed rather calm during Wonderwall. Don't Look Back In Anger is always a magical moment as well. A great gig. I know I can't really compare because this is something really different, but at times I miss the old Oasis gigs. Where you go mental, jumping and rocking around, and you go home all sweating and with no voice cause of all the singing. Now you listen and watch the stage, it's all a lot calmer. Can't always get what you want! Glad to hear that you enjoyed the gig, draper. I've been to Forest National once to see Kasabian. Very beautiful venue. I didn't expetc he would do the second European leg to be honest, but anyway lets see what he brings us tonight, in the same venue where I saw Oasis in 2005 and 2009 and Beady Eye in 2011.

It's taking us forever to get there. My mom hurt her foot and is a bit crippled now. Already missed 2 trains, missed the last one by a minute, FFS.

Better late than never, here is my review of the gig in Cologne last Friday.
Since my "driver" almost let me down, I spent the hours before the gig worrying about how I could possibly get home after the gig, so my anticipation for the actual gig couldn't really grow like it usually does. Luckily, half an hour before the start of the support act, I got the confirmation that he would pick me up. Still, I wasn't really in the mood yet. The Augustines were quite good though musically and I enjoyed it. Concerning Noel's gig I would say that it was probably the best I've seen him and the band. The sound was really good and it seemed to me that the band has been getting tighter as a unit. Noel was in a good mood, joked around a couple of times and it seemed like he enjoyed it and himself. He even said so and he doesn't always do that if he doesn't mean it. My highlights probably were: hearing TBOTMI which had a lot of energy and Noel's singing was great as well, Champagne Supernova (gave me goosebumps) and Listen up, Spaceman and Sad Song simply because I've never heard them live before. I realised that those songs really mean a lot to me. Especially the Oasis songs really seemed like a part of me, like an old friend you visit. It was like coming back to my musical roots, because it's Oasis that paved the way for the musical taste I have now and I felt grateful towards Noel when I was thinking about that during the gig and still feel it now. I do also often complain about Noel not playing all the songs on his new album like WTSRTS or TRS, but I can't really criticise the fact that he plays quite many Oasis songs, because it's always great to hear them. Especially for people like me who never saw Oasis live. As long as he switches them around from tour to tour like he does most of them, I appreciate it greatly.

Bad news...I'm glad he didn't play it in Cologne. Can't think of a song in the current set that I'd drop in favour of RM. Do you know which one was dropped?

Review time!
Apparently Noel came out to sign stuff pretty much right before we arrived. Bummer.
It wasn't sold out, but very close. I was in the seated area, and could see everything, but there wasn't much space left. Was afraid it would be half full like Beady Eye experienced a couple of years ago.
Augustines-GREAT band. When I heard the songs on Youtube I didn't know what to think, but live they were great. Awesome.
Noel: sounded pretty nasal and loud in parts, but absolutely fantastic in other parts.
Everybody's On The Run was fucking fantastic. He updated it a bit by adding weird sounds. In The Heat Of The Moment was great. Talk Tonight was beautiful, rediscovered my love for that song, so sincere. The Mexican was fucking heavy, such a beast live as usual. Listen Up was fantastic, gave me goosebumps.
Ballad Of The Mighty I was an absolute highlight. He sounded fantastic, didn't sound like he was struggling to sing it or remember the lyrics.
Champagne Supernova was great, but the singing along part didn't really work. Barely anyone around me sang along. Half The World Away and Talk Tonight were unexpected sing along anthems. The Masterplan was too, man, did that get a reaction! Don't Look Back In Anger was as well, but that's a given. It was absolutely fantastic to finally hear it electric (last time I saw him he did it acoustic, which I'm not a fan of). I've never heard people sing so loud.
He added Record Machine at the beginning of the encore, followed by Wonderwall, What a Life and finally Don't Look Back In Anger of course. Not my favourite, but nice to see a change.
Funny banter with the crowd. He made a remark about a girl in the front who was from Bolivia and was called Harrietta, and who apparently was very goodlooking. And he liked her name. There was a fan who was crying. He dedicated YKWCGB to Oasis fans and called out the crying fan a couple of times. Someone threw a football scarf (was it Ajax?) on stage and Noel called it a Nazi flag. Later on it became apparent that it was a football scarf. Someone threw a marker on stage. He asked if he had to sign the air or something, and said it was ridiculous and he was busy, and threw it back in the audience. Good banter. He seemed enthusiastic.
A couple of things I didn't like: - Riverman was very flat and lifeless, only came to life a bit after the solo. - Sad Song. I've come to the conclusion that I can't stand it. - FFS, stop singing the Ryan Adams version of Wonderwall!

Looks like Record Machine was added in at the last minute, as someone got the setlist and it was written on in pen.

It was a great gig. I was at a barrier and everyone around me sung along with Champagne Supernova, Talk Tonigjt, Half The World Away and of corse DLBIA. My highest moment was Lusten Up. My eyes were wet while singing along the song. That was the moment which realised me how much I still love Oasis. Very mixed crowds I must say. Very different than Oasis gigs I've been to and pretty some young school girls. WTF?! Noel had some nice banter with crowds. There was a little boy who looked as old as Donovan and Noel dedicated If I Had A Gun to the boy. He was pissed when somebody threw Man United scarf to the stage It was my 3rd time seeing him solo and I had a great time. Thank you Noel. Now I need coffee

Cannot wait for Aberdeen on Sunday, first time I'll be seeing a proper Noel gig (saw him at TITP 2012 but that was obviously a shorter festival set).

Anyone have any ideas of the stage times? Not that fussed about seeing the support but don't want to be miles back at the gig. Doors open at 18:30, any idea roughly what time Noel would be on?
