I really hope Alone on the rope and Shout it out loud will return in the future, but judging from the crowd's reaction last time, and the way Noel spoke about performing songs only the hardcore fans are familiar with, I doubt that will happen.

Is there any European gig sold out? (Except the UK ones.)

I'm actually surprised by this, because if setlist.fm is to be trusted, that would be the first time after the split that any Gallagher makes it to Vienna and CY did pretty well in our charts (no. 8). I mean, I won't complain if it's not too crowded, but I still find it strange and a bit sad, because that might mean it's the last time he will make that trip.

Melkweg he played in 2011 has a capacity of 1500. It was sold out within an hour. TivoliVredenburg he played last year has a capacity of 2000. It was sold out within an hour. But HMH he's playing next week has a capacity of 5500. Oasis sold out the same venue for 2 nights in 2009, but it's too big for Noel.

I wonder how full the HMH will be, if it will be half full, like Beady Eye apparently had a few years back, or if they haven't sold about hundred tickets oe something, because that makes a big difference. I can't stand how a band like Imagine Dragons can sell out the Ziggo Dome within minutes and Noel can't even sell out the HMH.

Beady Eye at HMH in 2011 was not even half full. It was sad to see and to being there as a fan in the same venue where Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris were standing front of 11000 people 2 years earlier. This time Noel could have sold out 2 nights Paradiso or Melkweg with capacity of 3000 total.

I went to the Barcelona gig last night. Here's some comments:
- As much as I would like him to play more rare stuff, the current setlist works incredibly well. I'd dare say it may be the most balanced one he's had so far, all the tunes are just great. It's a very good selection, and if I weren't a hardcore fan who's been to multiple concerts, I would be extremely satisfied with the setlist. I talked to a few people that were seeing Noel for the first time and that was certainly their reaction. - If I had to change anything, I'd include TDOTL which has been dropped again. The obvious reason is that it's too similar to Talk Tonight and Wonderwall to have all three; I would personally drop Talk Tonight and put TDOTL in its place. - BOTMI is back as you know already. It's a relief that he's playing the best song of the album again, and the live version is very good, but I think it could be improved. Noel went for the live WAL treatment again, so the song is submerged in a constant guitar drone. It sounds much more dynamic on the record, especially with Marr's guitar parts, some of which are lost. I'm thinking of the funky clean strumming that Marr plays on the chorus. Noel is still struggling to remember the lyrics/structure, since he forgot that the chorus is played twice the second time, and had to quickly correct himself. I've seen the song live three times and in two of them Noel messed up the lyrics. Anyway, the chorus will always sound huge, even if the audience still can't seem to warm up to it (that was certainly the case in Barcelona). - Speaking of which, I've never seen such a tame Spanish crowd. Even though I was pleasantly surprised that many people knew the lyrics to the new songs, and not just the Oasis ones, the majority of the crowd was standing up like a statue. That didn't happen in any of the rock gigs by major artists that I've been to in the country. - Wonderwall is really overplayed and I haven't sat down to listen to it in many years, but hearing it live yesterday I couldn't help but realise what a brilliant tune it is. The current arrangement sounds closer to the album version than previous ones, and it just sounds great. - My personal highlights of the gig were Spaceman and Listen Up. At least, there was more novelty in them for me. Riverman sounded great too, I just love that one live.
(Oh, and for those who like to gossip, Noel's family was there and they were all dancing in the balcony. Every time I looked, Anais was taking videos with her phone, which I found funny. She must have watched half of the gig through that tiny screen. Noel dedicated a few songs to them.)

Also he's playing at Pukkelpop, so I won't be surprised if he plays at Lowlands too.

Vienna was great yesterday! I was standing next to the entrance, but had unhindered sight straight through the bar at the man. I'll remember that place! He seemed to be in a very good mood and so was the - according to a review 2.500 strong - crowd. Not every song worked for me, but those that did were brilliant and I'm so thankfull for Mighty I! My personal highlight. You were right, "The Mexican" does work live and it is a quite unique experience singing "Don't look back in anger" together with him and everybody else.
Oops, gotta go to work now!
