Hopefully all this means is album #3 is due by March 2017. I don't recall Noel being this open and honest about the progress of any of his solo albums before. A good sign I hope. October 2017 seems a lot more realistic for time and economic purposes. I don't think Noel liked releasing his album early in the year. I think he much prefers doing a September/October release because of holiday buying season. He might have lost some sales on CY releasing it early rather than later in the year. Also, I just can't see him doing that quick of a turn around from ending one tour to beginning another. I think he likes being with his family for as long as possible, and not leaving to tour. He definitely wanted to release CY in October 2014, but the Chasing the Sun thing stopped that from happening. October 2011 - October 2014 - October 2017 actually fits perfectly, given that he started writing for #3 after July 2014. Of course, October 2017 might be rather close to Liam's solo album, but I don't think Noel will mess up his entire schedule just to avoid a few headlines. |

Didn't he release a photo from the studio before CY. How long before the release was that? the first photo released I believe was may 29th 2014 on his birthday which confirmed he was back in the studio so about 9-10 months. think it was this one.  |

Does Noel want to release one last album before he reaches 50? The deadline is 29th May 2017. I'd like to believe he does, but he recently went on about taking a bit of time off. And then he posts a picture of him working on the new album a few weeks after he finished his tour (I bet Sara loved that). So who knows.
Just imagine, though, a Liam album and a Noel solo album released on the same day. It would be the closest thing to the Country House/Roll With It release battle release we'd have had for years.

Went to a screening of supersonic last night with a Q&a with Matt. He said "noel is about to release a new album and Liam is about to record one". Sounds like Noels is ready to go.
